You are expected to provide technical expertise and mentor staff in projects primarily based on Java/J2EE or emerging technologies. You will lead client interactions, work on project proposals when needed, take part in technical decisions and discussions with architects, and help in solution architecture on Java technologies or emerging technologies for projects.\n\nThe opportunity:\n\nWe’re looking for Java Seniors with expertise in Java technologies to join the Advisory Digital-FS Java team. development projects using Java technologies\nWork closely with clients to understand their business, functional, technical, and implementation requirements\nPlan and monitor project deliverables from the team\nProvide key input in technology stack evaluation and assist the architect in terms of technology choices for projects when needed\nDesign and govern reusable accelerators, apply design patterns, and reusable technical components (e.g. error handling, logging, etc.)\nWork with relevant teams to ensure timely delivery of projects\nPrepare technical solution and architecture documents, artefacts, work products, and presentations for the customer\nContribute towards excellence in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment\nLead and mentor development teams\nWork closely with Project Managers, Senior Business Analysts, and development teams\nTake ownership of solution delivery, and be responsible for translating functional requirements into a solution\nTask allocation and performance evaluation of team members\nCommunicate with client teams and gather requirements, conduct regular team meetings, and track project progress\nInterview candidates when needed and help in Streaming\nPer-record stream processing\nBatch streaming: consume and process records in batches\nFailure handling: retries, dead-letter or error path, replay, and idempotent processing\nConfluent Schema Registry or Avro message contracts\nSpring Batch\nHands-on Spring Batch: jobs, steps, readers, processors, and writers\nChunk processing, restart, skip, and retry\nLaunching and monitoring batch jobs\nAWS\nGood working knowledge of AWS for running integration workloads\nIAM, compute, object storage, and logging and monitoring\nDeploying and operating a Spring service on AWS\nSQL and PL/SQL\nStrong SQL: joins, aggregations, transactions, indexes, and execution plans\nPL/SQL: packages, procedures, functions, cursors, bulk processing, and exception handling\nCalling SQL and PL/SQL from a Java service\nAuthentication and Spring Security\nOAuth2 client credentials for service-to-service calls\nSpring Security for protecting APIs and outbound clients\nToken request, cache, expiry, and failure handling\nBuild and delivery\nMaven or Gradle\nBasic CI/CD: a pipeline that builds, tests, and publishes a Java service\nDocker and running the service in a container\n\nSecondary:\nUI experience using AngularJS/Angular, React, HTML5, Spring Cloud, jQuery, JSON, JavaScript, Servlet, JSTL, AJAX, and CSS will be an added advantage\nWorking experience in cloud environments, preferably Azure and AWS\nKnowledge of the CMMI framework\nWorking experience of designing and developing solutions in cloud environments, preferably Azure and AWS\n\nTo qualify for the role, you must have:\nBachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems Management, or a related field\n10 to 12 years of experience\nExperience in leading teams\nKnowledge of process
