Our team is part of EY’s Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe & Central Asia (CESA) cluster, delivering market leading services to organizations across industries in Cyprus and internationally.\nThe transformation imperative is urgent, challenging and opportunity-rich, interested to join us?\nYour Key Responsibilities\nDeveloping and maintaining cloud-native Java-based microservices\n\nParticipating in technical solution design and solution architecture definition ensuring security, high-availability, scalability, resiliency, and recoverability\n\nWriting and executing unit tests\n\nParticipating in peer code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge across the team\n\nSupporting and performing software deployments and releases\n\nPerforming root-cause analysis to identify cause of defects and bugs\n\nSupport, guide, and mentor junior developers\n\nCollaborating within the agile team and across the wider project to achieve project and client goals\n\nUsing observability tools to monitor application performance and making necessary adjustments to improve performance and reliability.\n\nTo qualify for the role, you should have\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology/Systems or other related field\n\nBetween 3 to 6 years related work experience\n\nExperience with Service Oriented environments and Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring, Spring MVC,)\n\nExperience implementing cloud-native microservices\n\nExperience with source code management, continuous integration and automated deployment\n\nKnowledge of securing applications, including authentication, authorization, and encryption.\n\nVery good knowledge of SQL and DBMS\n\nKnowledge of clean code and unit testing\n\nExperience implementation software following agile methodologies\n\nStrong communication skills\n\nExcellent English language verbal and written communication\n\nIdeally you should also have\nCertificates proving certain skills such as Java, Spring Boot, SQL or related skills\n\nKnowledge of Docker and Kubernetes\n\nExperience working with AWS or Azure cloud platforms\n\nExperience with events-driven architectures using Kafka or similar technologies\n\nExperience using Spring Cloud Config Server or other similar platforms\n\nSkills and attributes for success\nExperience working in international projects\n\nAbility to lead and coach other developers\n\nAbility to work in a dynamic environment and have excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills\n\nSelf-driven and flexible, can work autonomously with a proven work ethic\n\nTeam player who enjoys working with people from different backgrounds and disciplines\n\nAble to exhibit a high level of confidentiality\n\nWhat we offer you\nAt EY, we’ll develop you with future-focused skills and equip you with world-class experiences.
