It supports clients across mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, valuations, business modelling and related financial advisory services.\nOur M&A (Mergers & Acquisitions) team advises on local and cross-border acquisitions, disposals, mergers and alliances from strategic positioning through closing. We are seeking an experienced, high-performing M&A professional to join the team.\nYou will lead challenging transactions across sectors in Hungary and the wider region, working with multidisciplinary teams across the EY-Parthenon network.\nAs a Manager in EY-Parthenon’s Strategy & Execution team, you will combine transaction and client leadership with team development and business development.\nYour key responsibilities\nLead local and cross-border M&A engagements from assessment to closing\nMonitor macroeconomic, market and industry trends to identify M&A opportunities and risks\nPerform strategic, financial and business analyses to support client decisions\nAdvise senior clients on transaction and financing strategies\nPrepare transaction materials, including teasers, pitch books, information memorandums and presentations\nDevelop financial models, valuations and transaction structuring analyses\nManage senior client and stakeholder relationships, meetings and negotiations\nEnsure effective project management and high-quality delivery\nSupport senior professionals and coach junior team members throughout the M&A process\nSupport business development through market analysis, proposals and client coverage\nSkills and attributes for success\nStrong project leadership and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary M&A teams\nCommercial mindset, and a focus on creating client value\nConfident communication and relationship-building with senior stakeholders\nProactive contribution to business development and practice growth\nCommitment to continuous learning, coaching and knowledge sharing\nTo qualify for the role, you must have:\nExcellent academic background, including a master’s degree in finance, and / or other related field with strong quantitative focus\nAt least 5+ years of relevant experience in M&A or Corporate Finance acquired through work experience in an investment bank, Big4 or private equity firm\nExcellent command of English and Hungarian in a professional environment\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Microsoft Project\nExperience with managing complex business projects and working with multi-disciplinary teams\nAbility to make detailed assessments of industry, products, markets, competitors and customers to identify risks and opportunitiesExperience in different sectors is advantage\nStrong numerical/analytical ability and a sound grasp of financial accounting.
