This role offers you the chance to lead the administration, maintenance, and performance tuning of our SAP systems, ensuring stability, security, and high availability.\nYou will have the opportunity to work closely with functional teams, IT, and business stakeholders to enhance SAP system landscapes, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise will be essential in addressing complex technical issues, managing system upgrades, patches, and ensuring compliance with IT policies and regulatory requirements.\nIn this position, you will also play a key role in mentoring and leading a team of BASIS administrators, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing, skill development, and innovation. You will be part of a dynamic team that values technical excellence and is committed to delivering exceptional SAP services to support business objectives.\nYour Key Responsibilities\nPerformance monitoring and tuning, issue diagnosis, root-cause analysis, and resolution.\nSAP administration on UNIX & Windows environments.\nSystem copy/refresh planning and execution.\nAdministration of ABAP + Java dual-stack systems.\nAdd-on installation, Support Pack updates, and post-implementation troubleshooting.\nKernel upgrades and patching.\nClient copies, export/import operations.\nTMS administration, transport configuration, and troubleshooting transport errors.\nSAP system monitoring, log analysis, workload analysis, and early-watch checks.\nSAP parameter optimization, operation mode setup, logon group configuration.\nSAP authorization knowledge: role analysis, creation, and troubleshooting access issues.\nSpool administration and troubleshooting print/spool issues.\nOSS Note implementation and correction deployments.\nExperience with Single Sign-On, certificates, SNC, Web Dispatcher routing & load balancing.\nStrong experience managing SAP on public and private clouds.\nHands-on experience working with Azure, AWS, and GCP cloud platforms.\nExperience in SAP user provisioning, role assignments, and troubleshooting authorization conflicts.\nUnderstanding of OS/DB migration and heterogeneous migration concepts.\nFamiliarity with SAP connectivity components such as Gateway, Web Dispatcher, RFCs, Cloud Connector, etc.\nSkills and attributes for success\nShould have 9 to 10 years of experience in the SAP Basis domain with strong leadership responsibilities.\nSolid hands-on experience in SAP system administration including installation, configuration, upgrades, migrations, and performance optimization.\nStrong understanding of SAP architecture, transport management (CTS, CTS+), kernel upgrades, client strategies, and system refresh processes.\nExpertise in SAP HANA administration (performance tuning, monitoring, backup/recovery, memory optimization, and troubleshooting).\nExperience managing SAP landscapes such as S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, PO/PI, Fiori, Solution Manager, Web Dispatcher, and Gateway.\nStrong knowledge of SAP BTP, integration services, and administration fundamentals.\nExperience managing RISE with SAP environments and cloud operational activities.\nStrong documentation skills ensuring structured, compliant, and audit-ready system documentation.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder-management skills with experience working with senior leadership.\nIn-depth expertise in Solution Manager functionalities including CHARM, EWA, Monitoring, System Recommendations, and Change Control Management.\nExperience using Signavio for business process modeling and process governance.\nExperience with LeanIX for enterprise architecture management, application portfolio mapping, and landscape documentation.\nManage SAP High Availability (HA) & Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies.\nOptimize HANA database performance, backup, and restore strategies.\nKnowledge of Linux, Windows, and cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).\nFamiliarity with SAP security, patching, and encryption methodologies.\nPerformance Optimization & System Security:Analyse and improve SAP system performance, load balancing, and scalability.\nOptimize memory management, SAP buffers, work processes, and background jobs.\nConduct security audits, role-based access control (RBAC), and risk assessments.\nEnsure SAP systems comply with GDPR, SOX, ISO, and industry regulations.\n\nCloud & Infrastructure Management:Support SAP Cloud deployments (SAP BTP, Azure, AWS, GCP, or private cloud).\nImplement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for SAP automation using Ansible/Terraform.\nManage hybrid cloud integrations and connectivity between on-prem & cloud SAP environments\n\nSoft Skills:Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.\nAbility to work under pressure in a high-availability production environment.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\nLeadership experience in guiding SAP Basis teams and collaborating with cross-functional teams\n\nIdeally, you’ll also\nPractical experience managing SAP workloads on Azure or AWS (VM management, storage classes, networking, monitoring).\nExposure to SAP Cloud ALM (CALM) for monitoring, operations, and change control.\nExperience in SAP Data Archiving (OpenText, ILM).\nCertifications:\nSAP Technology Associate (SAP Basis, HANA).\nSAP Cloud Certifications (RISE, BTP, HANA Cloud).\nCloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP).\nWhat we offer you\nAt EY, we’ll develop you with future-focused skills and equip you with world-class experiences.
