The competencies offered include analytics, digital, user experience, mobile technology, infrastructure, Microsoft technologies and open innovation.\nThe Opportunity\nAn opportunity to combine Data Science, AI/ML, and pharmaceutical domain expertise to deliver scalable, data-driven solutions that transform manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and business operations.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, develop, validate, and deploy data science, machine learning, and advanced analytics solutions to address pharmaceutical business and manufacturing challenges.\nAnalyse large, complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, anomalies, and actionable insights.\nDevelop predictive and prescriptive models, forecasting solutions, optimization models, and statistical analyses.\nPerform data preprocessing, feature engineering, model development, evaluation, validation, and performance monitoring.\nCollaborate with pharma business, manufacturing, quality, engineering, IT, data engineering, and subject-matter experts to translate business problems into analytical solutions.\nDevelop analytics solutions for areas such as manufacturing performance, process optimization, quality, deviation analysis, predictive maintenance, supply chain, and operational excellence, depending on project requirements.\nBuild reusable analytical pipelines and work with data engineering teams to establish reliable data pipelines and datasets.\nApply appropriate AI/ML techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning, time-series analysis, anomaly detection, clustering, classification, regression, and optimization.\nEvaluate opportunities for Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) where appropriate to the business use case.\nDevelop dashboards, visualizations, and data-driven insights to support operational and management decision-making.\nSupport deployment and operationalization of models through appropriate MLOps, versioning, monitoring, testing, and model governance practices. Production ML roles commonly include model deployment, monitoring, drift detection, and troubleshooting.\nEnsure solutions involving regulated data follow applicable data governance, security, privacy, validation, and regulatory requirements.\nClearly communicate complex analytical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nPerform technical reviews and provide guidance to junior data scientists and analytics team members.\nQualifications\n6+ years of professional experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, AI, Advanced Analytics, or related areas.\nBachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Bioinformatics, or a related discipline.\nDemonstrated experience applying data science within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or life sciences domain.\nStrong hands-on experience developing statistical and machine-learning models using real-world datasets.\nStrong programming experience with Python and SQL; experience with R and/or SAS is an advantage.
