This is an exciting opportunity to work on manufacturing transformation and operational excellence engagements across industries and geographies. You will work closely with client teams and EY practitioners to support the assessment, design, and implementation of manufacturing transformation initiatives, helping clients improve productivity, reliability, quality, and operational performance.\nYou will be responsible for executing tasks with increasing autonomy, applying sound judgment within defined parameters, and contributing to team outcomes. You are expected to demonstrate initiative, resolve routine issues independently, and support junior colleagues.\nYou will anticipate and identify risks within engagements and share any issues with senior members of the team.\nIn line with EY commitment to quality, you’ll confirm that work is of high quality and is reviewed by the next-level reviewer.\nYour Key Responsibilities\nSupport analysis of as-is operating models for manufacturing clients and identify performance improvement opportunities\nAssist in developing future-state manufacturing operating models aligned with business objectives and performance targets\nSupport the design and implementation of manufacturing transformation frameworks and performance management systems\nSupport deployment of Manufacturing Excellence work processes across sites, ensuring adherence to standards, governance, and capability-building initiatives\nParticipate in Operational Excellence programs focused on productivity, reliability, quality, and supply chain performance improvement\nSupport change management initiatives, training programs, and capability-building activities at shopfloor and leadership levels\nAssist in implementing Smart Factory and Digital Manufacturing solutions\nSupport the implementation of improvement initiatives such as OEE improvement, TPM, SMED, Predictive Maintenance, 5S, Continuous Improvement, and quality enhancement programs\nEngage with shop-floor teams to understand operational challenges, collect data, and support implementation of improvement initiatives\nAssist in digital transformation engagements involving Power BI, MES, Industrial IoT, Advanced Analytics, and Smart Factory technologies\nSupport assessment and utilization of manufacturing systems including MES, ERP, QMS, CMMS/EAM, and manufacturing analytics platforms\nPerform data analysis on manufacturing and operational data and generate actionable insights for client stakeholders\nSupport governance activities, KPI tracking, maturity assessments, and benefits realization efforts\nPrepare client presentations, workshop materials, analyses, and implementation documentation\nContribute to development of EY manufacturing transformation methodologies, assets, and knowledge repositories\nWork collaboratively with cross-functional and global teams to deliver client engagements successfully\nSkills and attributes for success\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to structure data and derive meaningful insights\nStrong core consulting skills including research, logical structuring, storyboarding, and business presentation development\nSelf-motivated and proactive team player with a continuous improvement mindset.\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills\nAbility to work effectively in dynamic client environments and manage multiple priorities.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to delivery excellence\nWillingness to learn and develop expertise in manufacturing transformation, operational excellence, and digital manufacturing\nStrong business acumen combined with a hands-on implementation orientation\nIdeally, you’ll also\nExperience with analytics and visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire, Minitab, and Advanced Excel\nWorking knowledge of MES, ERP (SAP preferred), QMS, CMMS/EAM, APS, SCADA, Historian, and Industrial IoT platforms\nExperience in manufacturing analytics, data analysis, and operational performance reporting\nExposure to production planning, inventory management, supply chain planning, and network optimization\nWhat we look for\n2-5 years of experience in Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, Performance Improvement, Reliability, Maintenance, Supply Chain Operations, or Manufacturing Transformation\nSolid understanding of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, Operational Excellence, Industry 4.0, and Digital Transformation concepts\nAt least 1-2 years of implementation consulting experience in Operational Excellence, Manufacturing Transformation, Smart Factory, or Digital Manufacturing engagements.\nPrior experience working in a consulting, advisory, manufacturing transformation, or operations excellence environment\nExperience supporting client-facing projects and transformation initiatives\nWillingness to travel internationally on short- and medium-term assignments, as required\nWhat we offer you\nAt EY, we’ll develop you with future-focused skills and equip you with world-class experiences.
