With projects like Mercury, we also support business transformation, and we are continuing to expand our services to support all Regions with their Reporting and Data Analytics needs.\nThe opportunity\nThe purpose of this job is to prepare standard reports and study Market/Engagement results, cost analysis and budgets. Analysis to conclude root causes, variances and suggest corrections to management. Design and create complex reports to user specifications. The position will ideally have to handle more complex issues and special projects than a junior financial analyst\nJapan Finance Reporting and Analytics - Senior Finance Analyst\nThe Japan Reporting and Analytics team provides financial, operational, and strategic reporting support to Japan stakeholders across Tax, SaT, and Consulting. The team delivers weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reporting that enables performance monitoring, financial planning, operational transparency, and informed decision-making.\nYour key responsibilities\nGenerate standard reports (Sales and Pipeline, Global Revenue reports) on a periodic basis and identify and solve issues that affect reporting\nKnowledge of global reporting and consolidation (Area, Region, Service ling reporting)\nHandle complex ad hoc reports from Stakeholders on a timely manner\nProactively take part in the revenue planning as well as financial planning process\nEnsure proper review mechanism is in place for the respective teams\nDevelop new reports as well as enhance existing reports by working on automating the report preparation as much as possible\nMentor, guide, train junior analysts and new recruits\nSkills and attributes for success\nPossess statistical or data driven and problem solving skills\nHave sound understanding of basic accounting concepts\nPossess good communication skill\nBe strong in MS Excel skill\nUnderstand financial reporting goals and basic process flow\nAbility to understand numbers and arrive at inferences\nHave strong interpersonal skills with the ability to teach the juniors\nTo qualify for the role, you must have\n3-6 years in reporting and other accounting processes.\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance\nStrong MS Excel skill\nKnowledge of basic accounting concepts\nGood communication skill\nIdeally, you’ll also have\nExposure to Power BI, SQL or any other visualization tools\nWhat we look for\nA Team of people with commercial acumen, technical experience and enthusiasm to learn new things in this fast-moving environment\nOpportunities to work with EY F&A practices globally with leading businesses across a range of industries\nWhat we offer\nEY Global Delivery Services (GDS) is a dynamic and truly global delivery network.
