ET will also support our internal technology needs by focusing on a better user experience.\nInformation Security (InfoSec) - InfoSec prevents, detects, responds and mitigates cyber-risk, protecting EY and client data, and our information management systems.\nThe opportunity\nThe STS Cross-Function Automation Engineer is responsible for engineering, enabling, and operating enterprise automation platforms that support security operations, process orchestration, and cross-functional service integrations across Security Technology Services (STS).\nThe role focuses on automation platform administration, workflow enablement, integrations, access governance, onboarding, operational support, and platform lifecycle management. Working closely with Information Security, Enterprise Technology, business stakeholders, and vendors, the engineer ensures automation platforms are secure, scalable, reliable, and aligned with organizational requirements while driving automation adoption, operational efficiency, and service excellence across STS.\nKey Responsibilities\nEngineer, administer, and optimize enterprise automation platforms.\nEnable integrations through APIs, connectors, webhooks, and enterprise services.\nManage RBAC, authentication, authorization, and access governance.\nSupport onboarding of security, operational, and business automation use cases.\nEstablish platform standards, governance controls, and operational best practices.\nManage platform lifecycle activities, including upgrades, migrations, releases, and enhancements.\nMonitor platform health, performance, and adoption, driving continuous improvements.\nEnsure compliance with security, audit, and governance requirements.\nTroubleshoot platform, integration, and workflow issues.\nCollaborate with business, technology, security, and vendor teams to deliver automation capabilities.\nSkills and Attributes for Success\nStrong understanding of automation platform engineering, administration, and operational support.\nExperience with workflow orchestration platforms, automation technologies, and enterprise integrations.\nUnderstanding of automation platform architecture, orchestration frameworks, and integration patterns.\nKnowledge of API management, connectors, authentication, authorization, and access governance.\nExperience supporting security orchestration, workflow automation, and cross-platform process integrations.\nExperience supporting platform onboarding, governance, enablement, and lifecycle management.\nStrong understanding of automation platform security, compliance, audit, and governance requirements.\nExperience troubleshooting platform, integration, workflow, and access-related issues.\nAbility to evaluate automation use cases and translate operational requirements into platform capabilities.\nAbility to balance platform scalability, reliability, security, governance, and user adoption requirements.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.\nPassion for automation, process optimization, and emerging AI-enabled automation capabilities.\nTo qualify for the role you must have\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Cyber Security, or a related field.\n7+ years of experience in Automation Platform Engineering, Security Operations, IT Operations, or Enterprise Technology.\nExperience managing enterprise automation, orchestration, or security automation platforms.\nHands-on experience with APIs, webhooks, connectors, integrations, service accounts, certificates, and secrets management.\nExperience with RBAC, IAM, SSO, MFA, OAuth, SAML, and OpenID Connect.\nExperience integrating enterprise applications, security tools, ITSM platforms, and cloud services.\nKnowledge of security governance, compliance, audit, and access management controls.\nStrong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving capabilities.\nExcellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.\nWhat We Look For\nWe are seeking an Automation Platform Engineer who is passionate about enabling secure, scalable, and efficient automation capabilities across the enterprise.\nThe successful candidate will demonstrate:\nExperience engineering and supporting enterprise automation platforms.\nStrong expertise in integrations, workflow enablement, and access management.\nAbility to drive automation adoption and operational improvements.\nExperience balancing security, governance, compliance, and business needs.\nStrong problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.\nA continuous improvement mindset focused on automation maturity and business value.\nWhat working at EY offers\nWe offer a competitive remuneration package where you’ll be rewarded for your individual and team performance.
