As part of our EY GDS - TechOps team, you will be responsible for providing functional support for SAP Controlling (CO) across various regions for our global clients. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to address issues, implement enhancements, and optimize controlling processes to meet business requirements.\nThis is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm whilst being instrumental in the growth as you get to work with a high-quality team to support clients, ensuring efficient financial controlling operations through best-in-class solutions, automation, and innovation.\nTo qualify for the role, you must have:\nBachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech) or Commerce/Finance (B.Com, M.Com), MBA (Finance), CA, ICWA/CMA, or equivalent professional experience.\n3-7 years of experience required in one or more areas within SAP CO, preferably with global clients.\nYour Key Responsibilities\nResponsible for providing support for SAP CO module incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.\nSupport incident resolution by analyzing issues raised by users and providing effective solutions.\nWork closely with customers and support teams to ensure issues and requests are followed up and addressed in a timely manner.\nHandle change requests with a clear understanding of business requirements and controlling processes.\nUnderstand business needs and deliver solutions to improve cost transparency, profitability analysis, planning, and reporting processes.\nCross-functional communication skills; experience in offshore/onsite delivery models.\nDefect analysis and resolution related to SAP CO processes and integrations.\nAbility to work with minimal guidance or supervision in a time-critical environment.\nStrong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills within a global support environment.\nFlexibility in managing work hours due to the nature of Application Management Services, including shift support and on-call availability for critical business requirements.\nResponsible for decision-making, optimizing processes, resource management, and overseeing team management as needed for task execution.\nAccountable for allocating personnel, supervising team members, assigning tasks, ensuring that the team has the necessary tools and support to succeed in their roles and optimizing and evaluating their performance to meet organizational goals.\nSkills and attributes for success\nIdeally, you'll also have:\nWell versed with SAP CO modules including Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Profit Center Accounting (PCA), Internal Orders (IO), Product Cost Controlling (PC), Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), Cost Object Controlling (CO-PC), Activity-Based Costing (ABC), Planning & Budgeting, Assessment & Distribution Cycles, Allocations, Overhead Cost Controlling, Settlement Processes, Period-End Closing Activities, WIP Calculation, Results Analysis, and Variance Analysis.\nExperience in CO integration points with other SAP modules like FI, MM, SD, PP, PM, PS and HR.\nStrong understanding of managerial accounting, cost allocation methodologies, budgeting, profitability reporting and financial controlling processes.\nExperience supporting SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA Controlling solutions.\nKnowledge of planning cycles, allocations, month-end and year-end closing activities, product costing and management reporting.\nSAP Certification in SAP CO, SAP S/4HANA Management Accounting, or related Finance certifications preferred.\nWhat you will do\nProvide day-to-day Application Management support for SAP CO and related SAP applications across IT Service Management including service requests, incident management, enhancement requests, change management and problem management as a Level 2 or Level 3 Application Management Specialist.\nLead and coordinate the resolution of complex controlling issues including allocation cycle failures, period-end closing issues, settlement errors, CO-PA reporting discrepancies and system outages, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.\nCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather business requirements, assess operational challenges and provide recommendations on SAP CO solutions and process improvements.\nDevelop and maintain documentation including configuration, process flows, knowledge articles, user guides and test scripts.\nSupport and execute enhancements related to cost allocations, planning processes, profitability analysis, cost center accounting, internal orders and controlling reports.\nMonitor and support controlling processes to ensure optimal system performance, process compliance and business continuity.\nMentor and train junior SAP CO team members by sharing best practices, functional knowledge and troubleshooting techniques.\nKeep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, SAP innovations and controlling best practices to drive operational efficiency through automation and innovation.\nParticipate in on-call rotations and provide off-hours support as needed to ensure the availability and reliability of critical SAP systems.\nAvailable to work in shift hours depending on client requirements across Australia, Asia, Europe and the Americas.\nWhat we look for\nA team of professionals with strong functional expertise, analytical skills and enthusiasm to learn and adapt in a fast-moving environment.\nExperience working with global delivery teams and supporting enterprise-scale controlling and finance operations.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with business users, technical teams and third-party vendors.\nA proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement, automation and operational excellence.\nWhat we offer you\nAt EY, we’ll develop you with future-focused skills and equip you with world-class experiences.
