And it means we prioritize a diverse F5 community where each individual can thrive.\nThis role is responsible for managing all aspects of the Solutions Engineering team within the F5 Tech vertical with focus on technical sales. You will be responsible for establishing objectives and work plans and delegate assignments to the team. You will also be held responsible for ensuring that the SE organization is fit for purpose to meet F5 company goals.\nWhat you'll do\nResponsible for upholding F5’s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.\nManage the SE team including conducting performance evaluations, approving paid time-off, assigning or delegating work, providing on-the-job training, giving guidance to staff, conducting performance improvement plans, taking disciplinary action, and interviewing candidates for open positions.\nDefine core FY objectives, strategy and priorities for Engineers for the assigned SE Team.\nPartner with management to define headcounts quarterly and yearly ensuring the SE organization is scalable to meet and exceed goals and objectives. \nManage candidate recruitments in collaboration with HR.\nOrganizational Effectiveness - may include but not limited to the following:\nCommunication - ensure effective communication and create an environment of teamwork and cooperation with your department and the rest of the organization\nDevelop and organize SE organization to meet/exceed goals. This includes both technical and professional development.\nDevelop and maintain an effective SE partner plan (PS, support, Marketing, PM etc.)\nStrategic Planning - may include but not limited to the following:\nScale the SE organization to best meet/exceed objectives\nDevelop SE retention, recognition, compensation and career planning\nDevelop SE skills assessment and job planning\nEnsure SE team is customer focused - may include but not limited to the following:\nDrive Product Requirements and Business Units\nIdentify consistent market trends and communicate to PM, PD, etc.\nEnsure customer success\nDrive Customer Support awareness through a transparent escalation plan\nCustomer/Partner management\nManage post-sales issues and escalation with support team engage\nPresent F5 strategy, solution messaging and roadmap\nDemonstrate ability to understand customer requirement and challenges and present related F5 solutions\nBusiness analyze and strategy\nIdentify and communicate market trends to the Sales and SE organization\nIdentify and analyze the competition\nProvide product feasibility analysis in support of sales efforts with sales representatives\nPerform other related duties as assigned.\nWhat you'll need\nBS or BA degree required or relevant work experience \nA number of years' experience managing technical SEs in a management role\nThorough understanding of networking technologies and applications delivery\nStrong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex technologies\nSelf-motivated and have the ability to persuade direct reports and others outside the organization\nDemonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels within an organization\n#LI-EM1\n#LI-Remote\nThe Job Description is intended to be a general representation of the responsibilities and requirements of the job.
