Success in this role comes from building a strong engaged team working closely with Sales and cross-functional partners and helping customersrealisethe value ofF5ssolutions.\nWhatYoullDo\nLead and develop the team\nUphold F5s Business Code of Ethics and promptly report any violations of the Code or company policies.\n\nLeadcoachand develop the Africa Solutions Engineering team through regular feedbackmentoringand career development.\n\nManage day-to-day team activities including performance reviews development plans time-offapprovalsand workload planning.\n\nRecruit interview and onboard new Solutions Engineers in partnership with Human Resources.\n\nSet clearobjectivesand priorities for the team and ensure theyremainaligned with regional and company goals.\n\nWork with leadership on quarterly and annual headcount planning to ensure the team can support the needs of the business.\n\nBuildan effective Solutions Engineeringorganisation\nCreate a collaborative environment where knowledge sharingteamworkand continuous learning are encouraged.\n\nSupport both the technical and professional development of your team.\n\nBuild strong working relationships with Sales Professional Services Customer SupportMarketingand Product Management.\n\nHelp shape career development skills planningrecognitionand retention across the Solutions Engineeringorganisation.\n\nEnsure the team has the right skillsresourcesand structure to support current and future business needs.\n\nPartnerwith customers and the business\nSupport your team on strategic customer opportunities and executive engagements when needed.\n\nEnsure the Solutions Engineering team deliversan excellentcustomer experience throughout the sales cycle.\n\nWork closely with Sales to understand customer challenges and position F5 solutions that address their business and technical requirements.\n\nPresent F5s strategy solutionportfolioand product roadmap to customerspartnersand internal stakeholders.\n\nPartner with Customer Support and Professional Services to help resolve complex customer issues and ensure successful outcomes.\n\nContributeto business strategy\nIdentifymarket trends customerrequirementsand competitive activity sharing insights with Sales and Product Management.\n\nProvide technical and commercial guidance to support strategic sales opportunities.\n\nHelp shape the future direction of the Solutions Engineeringorganisationas the business continues to grow.\n\nWhat Youll Need\nBachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.\n\nExperience leading and developing technical pre-sales or Solutions Engineering teams.\n\nStrong understanding of networking technologies applicationdeliveryand cybersecurity.\n\nA proven ability to coachmotivateand develop technical professionals.\n\nExcellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a range of audiences.\n\nStrong relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively across Sales Product Management Professional Services and Customer Support.\n\nCommercial awareness and the ability to balance customer needs with business priorities.\n\nSelf-motivatedcollaborativeand comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.\n\nF5 is an equal opportunity employer.
