We are looking for passionate individuals who are ready to help us build and scale resilient infrastructure that supports our global operations and innovative product suite.\nThe Role\nWe are seeking a Platform Engineer to modernize and automate our virtual machine and core infrastructure services that form the backbone of our data center and hybrid-cloud environments. This role is multifaceted, focused on increasing the reliability, scalability, and security of foundational services such as DNS, PKI, logging, and observability through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitOps practices, as well as scaling and executing on our VM and hypervisor management ecosystems. You will also be responsible for automating the deployment and lifecycle management of critical COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) management tools. The ideal candidate has a strong background in traditional data center technologies and system engineering, combined with a passion for modern automation and platform engineering principles.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport hypervisor operations across a global datacenter footprint and provide VM management services, such as patching, backups, and monitoring through automation and at scale. \nCreate and manage reusable Terraform modules and Ansible playbooks to ensure consistent, repeatable, and version-controlled deployments of all core services. \nApply GitOps principles for managing all infrastructure and service configurations, using pull requests for changes and enabling automated reconciliation. \nLead the architecture, automation, and operational management of core infrastructure services, including enterprise DNS, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and NTP. \nDesign, build, and maintain a centralized log aggregation to feed observability platform for infrastructure and applications. \nBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the testing, validation, and promotion of changes to core service configurations and infrastructure. \nEmbed security and compliance into the entire sevice lifecycle, including secret management, certificate lifecycle automation, and vulnerability scanning. \nImplement monitoring, alerting, and dashboards for all managed services, and apply SRE principles to improve their reliability and performance. \nCollaborate with network, security, and application teams to ensure seamless integration and consumption of core services. \nRequired Qualifications\n+5 year experience working as a systems engineer or site reliability engineer supporting on-premise datacenter infrastructure and core infrastructure services \nProficient with hypervisor technologies that support operating systems and containers (e.g., VMware, Nutanix, Openshift) \nProficient with automation and management of Windows Server and Linux VMs (eg Ubuntu, Redhat, Debian, etc) \nDeep hands-on experience engineering and automating core infrastructure services within a large-scale data center environment (e.g., DNS/BIND, Active Directory Certificate Services/PKI). \nExperience building container platform capabilities in an on-premise ecosystem. \nStrong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management tools, particularly Terraform and Ansible. \nProven experience building CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation (e.g., using GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar tools). \nComfortable with Git-based workflows (PR reviews, branching strategies, versioning) and GitOps principles. \nStrong scripting and programming ability (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) to build automation, integrations, and tooling. \nSolid understanding of data center networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls) and security principles (least privilege, encryption, network security zones). \nExperience with centralized logging and observability platforms (e.g., Splunk, Elastic Stack, LogicMonitor). \nPreferred Qualifications\nFamiliarity with security and control frameworks such as NIST CSF, SOX, and ISO 27002. \nExperience working in hybrid-cloud environments and connecting on-premises services to public cloud providers (AWS, Azure). \nKnowledge of containerization and Kubernetes. \nExperience with platform engineering concepts like building internal tools and APIs to improve the developer/operator experience. \nThe Job Description is intended to be a general representation of the responsibilities and requirements of the job.
