Join our DevOps team within the WAAP security development group in an exciting, fast-paced environment shaping the future of F5.\nBe part of building and operating security products that protect applications and APIs across SaaS and on-prem environments, within a company renowned for its excellent culture.\nPosition Summary\nAs a Senior DevOps - Tech Lead, you will own the design, scalability, and evolution of our DevOps and platform infrastructure.\nYou will work closely with software engineers, SREs, architects, and external SaaS DevOps teams to ensure our systems are reliable, scalable, and aligned across security platforms, AI/data pipelines, and hybrid environments (SaaS & on-prem).\nPrimary Responsibilities\nLead the design and evolution of CI/CD pipelines and platform infrastructure across multiple environments as part of F5 SaaS and on-prem solutions.\nEnsure DevOps infrastructure and production environments are highly available, reliable, scalable, and performant.\nDrive and lead cross-team DevOps initiatives involving internal teams and external SaaS partners.\nDefine and promote best practices around system reliability, deployment processes, and operational standards.\nCollaborate with software engineers, SREs, architects, and external teams to deliver robust production solutions across security and data-driven systems.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nStrong ownership mindset with the ability to lead technical initiatives end-to-end.\nExcellent collaboration and communication skills across multiple teams and disciplines.\nAbility to drive alignment and influence technical decisions across teams, including external partners.\nDeep understanding of production environments, reliability, and scalability challenges.\nAbility to operate effectively in complex, multi-environment (SaaS and on-prem) systems.\nStrong problem-solving skills with a focus on building robust and maintainable systems.\nQualifications\nRequired\n5+ years of experience in DevOps or SRE roles.\nProven experience leading technical initiatives and driving architecture or system-level decisions.\nExpertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).\nStrong hands-on experience with Terraform and infrastructure automation.\nSolid understanding of networking fundamentals across multiple layers and protocols.\nProven experience with Linux environments and Kubernetes, including workload deployment and lifecycle management.\nStrong programming skills with proficiency in at least one language (Python, Golang).\nProven track record of owning production systems and CI/CD pipelines in large-scale distributed environments.\nPreferred\nExperience building or supporting AI/ML or data pipelines (e.g., Databricks or similar platforms).\nExperience operating complex, large-scale production environments.\nProven track record of leading initiatives in large-scale environments.\nFamiliarity with F5 products, especially: F5 Distributed Cloud (SaaS)BIG-IPNGINX\nThe Job Description is intended to be a general representation of the responsibilities and requirements of the job.
