The Planning Department is currently searching a passionate and results-driven Material Planner\nto manage suppliers of electrical/electromechanical components, ensuring business continuity, performance improvement, and the resolution of any issues that arise. This role will also work closely with the Purchasing and Production Department.\nMain Responsibilities\nReporting to the Planning Manager, the successful candidate will manage components from suppliers to guarantee Business Continuity, consistent performances and solve issues that may arise. In this role, you will act as the key liaison between suppliers and the production planning team, ensuring that all required materials are available at the right time to support production processes and guarantee business continuity and the optimization of inventories. This includes the following tasks:\nPurchase Order (PO) Management\nExecute the Planner Action Report to ensure timely and appropriate actions\nConvert purchase requisitions into orders and ensure correct placement of orders on supplier portals\nConfirm orders, resolve discrepancies with suppliers, and coordinate with the planning department to address any issues\nMonitor schedule changes and manage requests for rescheduling or delays. Generate reports for overdue and on-hold orders, as well as PO confirmations\nInventory & Quality\nMonitor inventory levels and manage requests to remove components from scheduling agreements\nAddress and resolve delivery issues raised by the stores, ensuring that timelines and quality standards are maintained\nFine-tuning the deliveries according to the requirements\nCompile and analyse the Shortage Report to identify priority deliveries\nRequest updated delivery dates from suppliers, manage stock searches from alternative sources in case of shortages, and collaborate on swift solutions.\nEnsure that delivery information is communicated to production, planning and NPDI.\nVendor Management\nSend and monitor On-Time Delivery (OTD) reports to suppliers and drive performance improvements in terms of punctuality, quality, service, and cost.\nBuild and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to ensure compliance with business requirements related to quality, service, and pricing.\nQualifications and Requirements\nMust Have\nRight to work in Ireland and availability to start within 6-8 weeks\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills in English\nThe ideal candidate should have:\nIIPMM, APICS or equivalent Purchasing qualification (Desirable but not essential)\n1+ Years Purchasing or Planning experience\nTechnical proficiency with ERP systems like SAP and solid knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)\nStrong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability problems solving\nProactive mind-set with strong communication skills.\nExperience in Manufacturing\nBenefits\nCompetitive Salary\nMedical Insurance\n24 days’ annual leave\nService and Christmas Bonus\nIncome Protection\nDeath in Service\nEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)\n\nTime to unlock new opportunities?
