This role ensures equipment reliability, minimizes downtime, and supports production through proactive maintenance and continuous improvement activities.\nBenefits\n§Union Increases at 120 Days and One year, totaling $3 to $4 / hour\n§Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance\n§Paid Holidays & PTO\n§401(k) with generous company match\n§Life, Short-Term & Long-Term Disability Insurance\n§Safety boot & prescription safety eyewear reimbursement\n§Employee referral bonuses\n§Overtime opportunities\nSalary Range:$24 to $31.50/hour\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on plant equipment, machinery, vehicles, and facility systems.\nDiagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to minimize equipment downtime.\nMaintain and repair mixers, conveyors, augers, cranes, batching systems, molds, hydraulic systems, forklifts, yard tractors, aerial lifts, skid steers, and wheel loaders.\nPerform welding, fabrication, cutting, equipment assembly and disassembly, and minor electrical repairs.\nConduct routine equipment inspections and respond promptly to production breakdowns.\nAssist with the installation, modification, and relocation of equipment and plant infrastructure.\nComplete work orders and accurately document maintenance activities and parts usage in CMMS/IFS.\nFollow lockout/tagout, hot-work permit, confined-space, environmental, and other required safety procedures.\nMaintain safe, clean, and organized maintenance and work areas while supporting equipment reliability and continuous improvement.\nRequirements\nHigh school diploma or GED required; technical training or a two-year technical degree preferred.\nTwo to five years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, construction-materials, or heavy-industrial environment preferred.\nWorking knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including conveyors, augers, industrial equipment, and wheeled vehicles.\nWelding and fabrication experience using SMAW, GMAW, plasma torch, and oxy-acetylene cutting equipment preferred.\nAbility to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, parts diagrams, blueprints, and equipment documentation.\nAbility to safely operate forklifts, skid steers, aerial lifts, cranes, yard tractors, and other heavy equipment.\nBasic computer skills required; experience using CMMS/IFS preferred.\nAbility to work well with others and maintain professional conduct. \nAbility to work overtime when required. \nAbout Us\nBetter.
