Our mission is to empower steel fabricators with innovative augmented reality technology, revolutionizing the way they work.\nWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR\nWe are seeking a detail-oriented QA Analyst - AR & Web Applications (Manual Testing) to help ensure the delivery of high-quality software for an AR Unity project and an Angular-based web application. This role focuses on hands-on manual testing - test case design, exploratory testing, and defect reporting - across our AR Unity application and supporting web portal. You'll work closely with our Automation QA Engineers, complementing our automated coverage with manual validation, and you'll be expected to use AI tools to work faster and smarter throughout the testing process.\nWHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:\nManual Test Planning & Execution\nDesign and execute manual test cases for AR Unity application and web-portal functionalities.\nPerform exploratory, regression, functional, and compatibility testing across devices (smartphones, tablets, and AR headsets such as HoloLens, Magic Leap, etc.).\nValidate new features and bug fixes prior to release.\nDefect Management\nIdentify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and severity/risk assessments.\nCollaborate with developers to prioritize and resolve issues promptly.\nPerform root cause analysis where applicable.\nTest Documentation\nCreate and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts.\nDocument testing results and provide clear, actionable reporting to the team.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nWork closely with product managers, developers, and the Automation QA Engineers to align on quality goals.\nParticipate in sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives.\nProvide input on edge cases and real-world usage scenarios based on manual testing insights.\nQuality Advocacy\nPromote QA best practices and quality standards across AR Unity and web-portal projects.\nSupport release validation and sign-off processes.\nAI-Assisted Testing\nUse AI tools (e.g., Claude) to draft and refine test cases, generate edge-case and negative-test scenarios, and speed up test coverage.\nApply AI assistance to summarize defects, tighten bug report clarity, and support root cause analysis.\nExplore and recommend new AI-based QA tools and workflows to improve testing efficiency.\nWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:\nAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).\n3+ years of experience in manual QA / software testing.\nStrong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices (functional, regression, exploratory, compatibility).\nExperience testing across various devices, such as smartphones (OS, Android), tablets (UWP), and AR headsets (e.g., HoloLens, Magic Leap, etc.).\nAbility to identify and clearly document bugs, glitches, and inconsistencies.\nExperience developing and maintaining test plans, test cases, and quality standards.\nExperience with Agile / Scrum Methodologies.\nAbility to write and refine test cases with the help of Claude or other AI tools, and use sound judgment about when AI output needs a human double-check.\nFamiliarity with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).\nBasic understanding of version control (Git, GitHub) is a plus.\nExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nNICE TO HAVE:\nCertification in QA or software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE).\nExperience testing AR/VR or Unity-based applications.\nFamiliarity with Azure cloud environments.\nBasic scripting knowledge (a plus, not required) for future growth into automation.\nWHAT WE OFFER:\nCompetitive salary: $70,000-80,000 CAD\nComprehensive benefits package - Medical, Dental, & Vision. \nPaid sick/personal days annually. \n$2,000 CAD tech stipend. \nFully remote work environment\nCompany-wide holiday week closure over Christmas\nThank you to all applicants.
