The Platform Infrastructure Engineering Team at FactSet is looking for an additional member for the Cloud Architecture team. The team is comprised of Cloud Architects and Engineers, focusing on overall Cloud Architecture strategy & execution, and enablement of the organization to create and run optimized Cloud Native solutions on GCP and AWS. The Cloud Engineer will help maximize the benefit FactSet receives from its usage of public cloud. The architect will directly contribute to the growth of the business by partnering with Strategic Business Units and Engineering teams to promote modernization, leveling up Cloud knowledge, increasing collaboration across the organization and helping to realize FactSet’s Cloud Architecture strategy.\nResponsibilities:\nSupports the planning and implementation of enterprise Cloud Programs\nMake meaningful contributions to FactSets cloud platform and capabilities.\nFosters a culture of innovation and encourages colleagues to think differently in finding solutions.\nFocuses on providing efficient business value; ensuring programs are delivered as efficiently as possible.\nWork with other Platform Infrastructure Engineering teams to help drive adoption of cloud services.\nEnsures core FactSet Infrastructure services are available in the cloud and easily consumable by FactSet engineering teams.\nIncrease velocity of cloud migration and digital transformation by helping engineering teams adopt DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, and automated release processes.\nWork with FactSet security organization to ensure a strong security posture of services and data in the cloud.\nProvide input and assistance on high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) of services running in the cloud. Develop processes and tooling to help engineering teams implement these HA & DR strategies for critical services deployed in the cloud.\nIdentify and implement cost optimization strategies for cloud services.\nPeriodic On Call and occasional weekend work\nFluency in English, both written and verbal\nMinimum Requirements:\n3 -6 years of hands-on public cloud experience successfully making architecture contributions in a fast-paced, high growth business with demonstrable experience leading cross-functional technology teams, planning, capital expense budgeting, and process improvement.\nCritical Skills:\n3 - 6 years GCP / AWS experience working in a highly distributed fast paced environment.\nProven track record of being an innovative and pragmatic technology expert.\nUnderstanding of Cloud Computing technologies.\nStrong Working knowledge of one or more of the following: Python, GoLang, Terraform, or Ansible\nExperience with Docker, GKE, Serverless (Cloud Run / Lambda)\nStrong foundational knowledge on GCP and AWS Networking services: VPC, NCC, Cloud Interconnect, TGW, Direct Connect, ILB/ALB/NLB, PrivateLink\nKnowledge of Generative AI and AI/ML tools & techniques\nStrong desire for learning new tech and solving challenging engineering problems\nFluency in English, both written and verbal\nAdditional Skills:\nExcellent communication skills, with the ability to lead business and technology discussions at all levels.\nAbility to review initiatives, understand detailed business processes and technology, and make timely decisive decisions.\nTrack record of being a change agent, one who can drive new and commercial thinking across the organization and the behaviors supporting such, while engaging in a collaborative, inclusive style\nStrategic, analytical, and creative thinking style with a realistic, pragmatic approach\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree in information/computer science, engineering, or related discipline with IT focus required.\nWhat's In It For You\nAt FactSet, our people are our greatest asset, and our culture is our biggest competitive advantage.
