You will combine hands-on engineering, project oversight, vendor and stakeholder management, and mentorship to keep the facility and its supporting infrastructure reliable, scalable, and cost-effective.\nAs a key member of our collaborative team, you will be the point of contact between the data center, partner departments, and director-level stakeholders. You will help ensure that the tools and processes behind our infrastructure keep improving.\nYou will be required to work onsite at our Reston, VA office Monday through Friday during standard business hours. This role also requires availability outside of regular working hours to respond to critical issues and emergency situations as needed.\nWhat You'll Do:\n6+ Serve as the senior technical owner of infrastructure operations at the Virginia data center. \nLead the enhancement of infrastructure software and hardware tooling to improve deployment, connectivity, and the user experience. \nProvide project management and technical oversight for large-scale technology rollouts and facility buildouts. \nDrive continuous improvement in infrastructure design, with a focus on autonomy and scalability. \nMonitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex production issues, and act as the escalation point for infrastructure support. \nPartner with director-level stakeholders and other departments to align goals and integrate tools, systems, and projects. \nManage contractor and vendor relationships to deliver regionalized services and contracts that are cost-conscious and beneficial to end users. \nChampion best practices, coach and mentor engineers, and foster technical excellence across the team. \nMonitor capacity across our infrastructure in the datacenter. \nWhat We're Looking For:\nSignificant experience in data center or enterprise infrastructure operations, including hardware, networking, and systems support, with a record of increasing responsibility. \nBachelor degree in computer science or related. \nDemonstrated ability to lead technical projects and rollouts from planning through delivery. \nExperience with alerting, monitoring, and incident management in a production environment. \nStrong written and verbal communication skills, including with director-level and cross-departmental audiences. \nExperience coaching and mentoring engineers. \nPerson needs travel to the Reston site everyday\nYou will be required to work onsite at our Reston, VA office Monday through Friday during standard business hours.
