The role combines strong delivery management, solid technical understanding, and the ability to influence stakeholders.\n\nKey Responsibilities : \n\nDelivery & Program Management : \n\n- Own delivery of data engineering programs from planning to execution.\n\n- Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of data platforms and pipelines.\n\n- Manage scope, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communication.\n\n- Drive predictable delivery through governance and tracking mechanisms.\n\nTechnical Leadership : \n\n- Guide teams on data engineering design and implementation.\n\n- Review solution architecture for scalability, performance, and reliability.\n\n- Support adoption of modern data stack (cloud, streaming, ETL/ELT tools).\n\n- Ensure best practices in data quality, governance, and CI/CD pipelines.\n\nTeam Leadership : \n\n- Lead and mentor engineers and technical leads.\n\n- Build a strong engineering culture focused on ownership and execution.\n\n- Support hiring and capability building within the team.\n\nStakeholder Management : \n\n- Work closely with business and technology stakeholders.\n\n- Translate business requirements into technical delivery plans.\n\n- Act as escalation point for delivery issues.\n\nThought Leadership : \n\n- Contribute to data strategy discussions and modernization initiatives.\n\n- Promote adoption of modern data engineering practices.\n\n- Bring awareness of emerging trends in data and analytics.\n\nRequired Skills & Experience : \n\n- 10 to 15+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform delivery.\n\n- 3 to 5+ years in a senior leadership or delivery management role.\n\n- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP).\n\n- Hands-on understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT, and data architecture.\n\n- Experience with tools like Spark, SQL, Airflow, Kafka, dbt (any relevant stack).\n\n- Proven experience managing cross-functional or distributed teams.\n\nKey Competencies : \n\n- Strong execution and delivery ownership\n\n- Good technical depth (able to review and challenge solutions)\n\n- Stakeholder management and communication skills\n\n- Team
