Provide clerical support for initiation, organization and completion of patient�s medical record and unit functions. Greet and serve as a patient liaison to the Emergency Department upon patient arrival and their stay in the department. Handle all interdepartmental calls/ requests to coordinate admissions, transfers and discharges. Enter consultations timely and accurately to facilitate medical decision-making. Orient and train new employees in same role and cross training additional ancillary staff. Responsible for resolving a variety of questions, discrepancies, problems and inquiries within scope of responsibility. Provide patient support services based on department needs with support services.
