4:00pm\nLocation: St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA\nA career at Southcoast Health offers you:\nA culture of well-being that embraces, respects, and celebrates the rich diversity of one another and the communities we serve \nCompetitive pay and comprehensive benefits package \nGenerous Earned Time Off Package** \nEmployee Wellbeing Program \n403B Retirement Plan with company match \nTuition assistance / Federal Loan Forgiveness programs \nProfessional growth opportunities and customized leadership training \n**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.\nSouthcoast Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer.\nResponsibilities\nUnder the direction of the department Clinical Specialist and Pathologists and in coordination with Medical and Administrative Director and Laboratory Managers, perform basic pre-analytical technical and clerical duties including but not limited to: specimen receipt, specimen integrity acceptability, specimen processing, assist with basic hazardous chemical waste disposal, stain filtration and set up for fresh froze section reagents, and cleaning of instruments.Qualifications\nSuccessful completion of High School or equivalency required.\nCertification in Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant preferred.\nKnowledge of medical terminology preferred.\nUp to and including one year experience.\nCombination of education and experience as a microbiology specimen processor/lab assistant equivalent for at least 6 months accepted.\nCertification in Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant preferred.\nMust be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired\n Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.\nPay Range\nUSD $21.94 -
