Answer phones, provide assistance with specimen-related questions, requests & take accurate & concise messages. Prepare documents, slides & blocks for pathology consultations & send-out testing. Receive returned patient materials, ensure appropriate distribution of reports to Pathologists, and update patient records. Prepare materials for tumor board meetings and retrieve materials from other organizations as needed. Perform tasks in the lab such as distribution and slide filing. Maintain computer competency to utilize the LIS system efficiently and effectively, input data accurately. Interact with management and medical staff, including client physician offices. Ensure that all specimens are appropriately and accurately labeled.
