Having access to well-curated catalogs of products lets Main Street retailers compete with big-box stores and we’re responsible for the first step in that journey.\nAs a Product Engineer on the Brand pillar, you will be responsible for planning and building features end-to-end, working alongside product, design, and data to achieve our mission.\nYou’re excited about this role because…\nYou are excited about learning how our customers' businesses work, and what they need in order to succeed\nYou are entrepreneurial and data-driven, with a strong product sense\nYou effectively balance your excitement for building features with a focus on the long-term maintainability of those features\nYou want to use technology to help your local independent retailers and brands succeed\nYou want to experiment with the best AI productivity tools on the market to help accelerate customer impact\nWhat you'll do:\nCollaborate closely with product managers, designers, and marketing to contribute significantly to the success of the business or the engineering platform\nIdentify and capitalize on new opportunities, overseeing complex multi-phase projects across multiple teams and platforms from concept to implementation\nBuild features across multiple stacks, potentially including Backend, Frontend, and Mobile\nOptimize web applications for peak performance and scalability, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, fast, and scalable code\nMentor fellow engineers on both technical and product judgement\nQualifications:\n2+ years of experience\nProficient in at least one of Java, Kotlin, or JavaScript.\nComfortable in agentic coding tools\nFamiliar with HTML, CSS, Typescript, and frameworks/libraries like React, Next.js, etc.\nExperience driving product improvements end to end, including deciding what problems are worth solving and how to solve them\nA bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent industry experience\nA love for technology, and an insatiable curiosity for new tools to solve real problems\n Technologies we use and teach:\nKotlin, Java, Javascript\nJUnit, Hibernate, Guice, Jersey\nReact, NextJS\nHTTP, JSON, and Protocol Buffers\nMySQL, CockroachDB\nAWS\nSalary range:\nCanada: the pay range for this role is $129,500 - $178,000per year. \nThis role will also be eligible for equity and benefits. Actual base pay will be determined based on permissible factors such as transferable skills, work experience, market demands, and primary work location. The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future.\nHybrid Faire employees currently go into the office 3 days per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and a third flex day of their choosing (Monday, Wednesday, or Friday). Additionally, hybrid in-office roles will have the flexibility to work remotely up to 4 weeks per year.
