The role follows a rotating 2-2-3 schedule: two days on, two days off, three days on, followed by two days off, two days on, and three days off. Team members will work every other weekend, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.\njob purpose\nThe Inventory Coordinator supports continuous food and beverage manufacturing operations by receiving, issuing, storing, and distributing maintenance, production, and MRO parts. This role ensures accurate inventory control, efficient material flow, and strict compliance with Food Safety, Quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). The position requires an experienced, detail-oriented professional with strong documentation skills and an understanding of asset-intensive manufacturing environments.\nresponsibilities\nparts, inventory & maintenance support\nProvide timely service to maintenance, production, and operations teams by issuing parts, tools, and supplies.\nReceive, inspect, classify, store, rotate, issue, and distribute MRO parts, materials, and equipment.\nMaintain accurate perpetual inventory using computerized inventory systems and barcode technology.\nAssist in cycle counts, physical inventories, audits, and discrepancy resolution.\nPrepare requisitions and documentation for stock replacement and vendor procurement.\nStage and assemble work orders and kits for preventive and corrective maintenance activities.\nIdentify, segregate, and report surplus, obsolete, damaged, or non-conforming materials.\nMonitor and report irregularities in stock movement or usage trends.\nreceiving, shipping & material handling\nLoad, unload, move, and distribute materials using hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, or other approved equipment.\nAssist in and oversee the unloading of delivery vehicles.\nUnpack, weigh, count, and inspect incoming goods for accuracy, condition, and compliance.\nVerify materials against purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices; document shortages or damage.\nTransport materials between the stockroom, maintenance areas, and production departments.\nOperate material handling equipment in compliance with safety and food manufacturing standards.\norganization, 5S & housekeeping\nSort and store parts on racks, shelves, or bins according to part number, size, type, or usage.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and food-safe stockroom, dock, and storage areas.\nApply 5S and stock rotation principles to ensure efficiency and contamination prevention.\nProtect stored materials from damage, deterioration, or spoilage.\nPerform housekeeping duties to support food safety and operational excellence.\ndocumentation, systems & reporting\nMaintain accurate inventory transactions and records using computer-based systems.\nPrepare daily logs, count sheets, inventory adjustment reports, and usage summaries.\nCompile reports related to inventory discrepancies, damaged stock, spoilage, and location changes.\nAssist with departmental reporting, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nParticipate in inventory, maintenance, and safety meetings as required.\nprocedures, compliance & continuous improvement\nAdhere to company policies, SOPs, GMPs, food safety, and quality system requirements.\nSupport the development and improvement of standard stockroom, inventory, and asset management procedures.\nUse barcode and/or CMMS systems to receive, issue, track, and count inventory accurately.\nPerform additional duties as assigned to support plant operations and food safety compliance.\nfood safety requirements: \nNotify supervision of any repairs or adjustments that are required that may affect product quality or food safety.\nUnderstand, observe, and comply with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy while in the Production Areas.\nPerform all duties necessary to meet Company, Customer and/or Government requirements/standards as prioritized by the Company.\nAbility to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system.\nIdentify and record any problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety system.\nControl further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.\nIn the event of absence, another employee with the same skill level will assume the duties and responsibilities as required.\nskills/qualifications required\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.\nExperience in a parts room, stockroom, or warehouse within food, beverage, or manufacturing environment required.\nStrong clerical and computer skills; experience with inventory systems, CMMS, or ERP software preferred.
