You will also contribute to engineering best practices, mentor other engineers, and take ownership of medium to large-sized technical projects from design through deployment.\n\nWhat You Will Work On\n\nDevelop high-quality backend features in collaboration with the Product team to better serve our customers.\n\nBuild and evolve platform services that allow individual markets to implement specific features while maintaining a strong common core product.\n\nDesign and develop scalable solutions for complex financial processes using appropriate architectural patterns.\n\nDrive architecture and technology decisions that enable a reliable and high-quality customer experience.\n\nDesign, develop, and deploy medium to large-sized projects.\n\nBuild and maintain distributed systems and platform services that are reliable, scalable, and resilient.\n\nDesign and improve relational database schemas, ensuring data integrity, performance, and scalability.\n\nContribute to engineering best practices, coding standards, code reviews, testing, and operational excellence.\n\nProvide technical mentorship and guidance to other members of the engineering team.\n\nContribute to continuous improvements across infrastructure supporting millions of customers.\n\nAnalyze and improve the efficiency, scalability, and stability of monitoring, CI/CD, and platform integrations.\n\nWork closely with other engineering teams and stakeholders to identify technical requirements and deliver effective solutions.\n\nTechnical Stack\n\nCustomer-facing product: Android and iOS apps – Kotlin KMP.\n\nBackend: Golang and Ruby on Rails.\n\nBackground processing & testing: Sidekiq, Temporal (Golang), RSpec.\n\nML pipeline: Python / Flask API.\n\nCloud: AWS.\n\nInfrastructure: Kubernetes, SNS, SQS, Lambdas.\n\nDatabases: RDS Aurora MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB.\n\nStorage & streaming: S3, Kinesis, Kafka.\n\nData warehouse: GCP, GCS, BigQuery, Cloud Composer.\n\nCI/CD: GitHub Actions.\n\nQualifications and Requirements\n\nMust-Have Qualifications\n\n5+ years of professional backend software development experience.\n\nStrong experience designing and building distributed systems.\n\nExperience building and maintaining platform services or shared backend infrastructure.\n\nStrong experience with relational database design, including schema design, data modeling, SQL, indexing, and performance optimization.\n\nStrong experience with Golang and backend development.\n\nExperience designing scalable, reliable, and maintainable backend systems.\n\nStrong understanding of software engineering principles, system design, and object-oriented design.\n\nGood problem-solving skills and the ability to work on complex technical challenges.\n\nGood verbal and written communication skills.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nExperience building and delivering complex software systems used by customers at scale.\n\nStrong understanding of professional software engineering practices across the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, testing, build processes, and operations.\n\nExperience with microservices and distributed architectures.\n\nExperience with cloud providers, preferably AWS, alternatively GCP or Azure.\n\nExperience with high-volume systems and designing for scalability, availability, and resilience.\n\nExperience communicating with users, technical teams, and management to gather requirements and translate them into technical designs and specifications.\n\nExperience in fintech, banking, lending, or other financial services is a plus.\n\nExperience mentoring engineers and contributing to technical direction is a plus.\n\nComfortable
