You'll work closely with Marketing, Product, Growth, Design, CRM, and Customer Experience teams to create clear, concise, and user-friendly copy for our digital products. This is a hands-on role for someone who understands consumer behavior, can adapt their writing across multiple channels, and knows how to craft messaging that resonates with Nigerian audiences.\nKey Responsibilities:\nWrite clear, engaging, and user-centered copy across FairMoney's digital products and marketing channels, including the mobile app, website, CRM campaigns, social media, product interfaces, and marketing materials.\nTranslate complex financial products and services into simple, relatable messaging that customers can easily understand and trust. \nCreate campaign concepts, headlines, taglines, scripts, and calls-to-action that drive acquisition, engagement, and retention.\nAdapt messaging for different customer segments while maintaining a consistent FairMoney tone of voice across all touchpoints.\nCollaborate closely with Product, Growth, Design, Customer Experience, and Marketing teams to develop and execute high-impact campaigns. \nCreate culturally relevant content that reflects the realities, language, and everyday experiences of Nigerian consumers.\nEdit and proofread copy across the business, ensuring clarity, accuracy, consistency, and compliance with brand and regulatory standards. \nSupport product launches, seasonal campaigns, employer branding, partnerships, and customer education initiatives.\nStay informed on customer insights, market trends, and competitor messaging to improve communication effectiveness.\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, English, or a related discipline. \n4+ years of professional copywriting experience, ideally within fintech, banking, or financial institutions.\nDemonstrated experience writing for B2C and consumer audiences, with a strong understanding of consumer behavior and customer journeys.\nProven ability to create conversion-focused copy across digital channels, including in-app and website copy, UX microcopy, CRM communications, email campaigns, and push notifications, with an understanding of how messaging influences acquisition, engagement, conversion, and retention.\nExceptional written English with excellent editing, proofreading, copywriting skills, and the ability to communicate complex ideas through clear, compelling messaging.\nStrong understanding of Nigerian culture and local communication styles.\nProfessional proficiency in English and Yoruba, with the ability to create original marketing copy in both languages, not simply translate content.\nExperience writing persuasive copy across a range of formats.\nAbility to simplify technical or financial concepts into content that is clear, engaging, and trustworthy.\nExperience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, Marketing, CRM, and Customer Support with the ability to incorporate feedback quickly and effectively. \nExcellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.\nNice to Have:\nWorking proficiency in additional Nigerian languages such as Igbo or Hausa.\nExperience localizing campaigns for different regions and audiences across Nigeria.\nBackground in UX
