Collaborates with operations and other members of the preconstruction or premanufacturing department to deliver design-build and design-assist services. This position typically has direct supervision of between three to seven engineering support staff, provides day-to-day work direction, and conducts formal performance evaluations.\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS\nEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; relevant disciplines include Electrical, Architectural, Mechanical, Process, Civil, Structural, Energy and Automation.\nExperience: 7 years of progressive engineering related experience\nor\nEducation: Associate Degree in Technology; relevant disciplines include Electrical, Architectural, Mechanical, Process, Civil, Structural, Energy and Automation.\nExperience: 11 years of progressive engineering related experience\nor\nAny combination of education and experience deemed appropriate by leadership.\nRegistered Professional Engineer (P.E.) License is preferred.\nTravel: 5-10%\nWork Schedule: Typical work hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nParticipates in Customer / Project Interviews: Leads the Engineering portion.\n\nLeads and directs project design and CAD effort on projects.\n\nPrepares proposals and cost estimates for Engineering related services.\n\nProvides guidance to ensure that construction and product/manufacturing activities comply with specification, codes, and customer requirements.\n\nProvides leadership and guidance to Engineering and Design staff.\n\nPerforms detailed calculations to compute and establish construction and product/manufacturing standards and specifications.\n\nPrepares and studies technical drawing, and specifications to ensure that installations and designs conform to standards and customer requirements.\n\nConducts field surveys and studies diagram and other data to identify and correct system problems.\n\nConfers with internal and external customers to discuss existing or potential construction and product/manufacturing projects.\n\nInspects completed installations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications.\n\nOperates computer aided drafting tools, modeling and design software to perform engineering tasks.\n\nCompiles data and writes reports regarding existing and potential engineering studies and projects.\n\nActively participates in Faith’s hiring referral and mentoring program.\n\nPerforms other related duties as required and assigned.\n\nThe job description and responsibilities described are intended to provide guidelines for job expectations and the employee's ability to perform the position described.
