And ─ as “one of the Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America” ─ is focused on the mind/body/soul of team members through ourCulture of Care.\nThe Quality Engineer supports quality customer requests and communications and leads and ensures product compliance to customer specifications and Excellerate requirements.\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in a business or engineering discipline is preferred.\nExperience: Two (2) years of related industry experience is required; Five (5) years of related industry experience is preferred.\nor\nAn equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.\nTravel: 10-25% depending on company needs.\nWork Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday.However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nProduct Compliance:\nEnsure products comply with customer specifications, industry standards, regulatory requirements and Excellerate standards. \nEnsure production process work instructions comply with specifications and standards. \nApprove all changes and deviations from established guidance, including Engineering Change Orders. \nLead and coordinate external customer audits and visits; serve as quality point of contact for all external customer visits.\nAssist team with RFQ’s and other quality related information as needed. \nSupport and manage in-process audits to ensure compliance and assess for gaps in the manufacturing process. \nLead product-related corrective action (CAPA) discussion and closure.\nCustomer Service:\nServe as one of the primary customer contacts for quality-related meetings, issues, including specification inquiries and audits. \nLead response and actions associated with customer quality concerns, including responding to complaints and inquiries in their system. \nEngage team members and other Subject Matter Experts to address process concerns related to customer quality.\nLead and manage customer quality metrics.\nLead the deviation process and ensure communication to the customer as required.\nLead CAPA development in response to customer request. \nProvide feedback and documentation to the customer, as required.\nManufacturing Readiness:\nCreate and maintain all required quality guidance for manufacturing readiness, including product Quality Plans. \nLead identification and maintenance of customer and industry standard failure modes for inclusion in the FMEA. \nSupport development, execution, and maintenance of the Control Plan to ensure compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements and Excellerate standards. \nEnsure customer specifications are included in training, as required. \nContinuous Process Improvement:\nSupport initial investigation and disposition decisions for Non-Conforming Material (NCM).\nAnalyze NCM data trends through QMS software to promote manufacturing quality process improvements.\nLead analysis of customer quality metric data and identify opportunities to reduce customer defects. Collaborate with the site engineers to implement improvements. \nLead CAPA development for repeat or systemic issues and ensure implementation.\nPerforms other related duties as required and assigned.\nThe job description and responsibilities described are intended to provide guidelines for job expectations and the employee's ability to perform the position described.
