Plans include sequenced activities, schedules, and documents, as well as conducting on-site/job site training, coaching, and auditing of job site commissioning activities. Provides technical review and leadership for the commissioning office and field teams and other technical groups at FTI. Including developing training systems inside and outside of the commissioning department and mentorship of other commissioning engineers and commissioning team members.\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS\nExperience: 15 years of related experience.\nor\nEducation: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology Degree. CCP Certification or equivalent is preferred.\nExperience: 10 years of related experience\nTravel: 0-20%\nWork Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. However, work may be performed at any time onany day of the week to meet business needs.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nDevelops commissioning processes, systems, and standard documents that interface with Estimating, Engineering, BIM, Detailing, Prefabrication, and Construction processes and activities.\nCreates LOTO plans and start-up scripts.\nAssists with implementation, review, and updating of LOTO and energization best practices and processes. \nEnsures that detailed procedures, checklists, and commissioning test scripts are accurate and appropriate for the task.\nLeads creation of Level 1 through 5 commissioning scripts.\nProvides technical training on commissioning, energization, and LOTO to FTI team members.\nProvides technical leadership and mentorship to commissioning team members.\nAssists in determining the commissioning process and technologies that will be used.\nAssists with the training and development of other commissioning engineers, technical team members, and other commissioning staff.\nIdentifies and generates new business. Networks, establishes, and maintains internal and external customer relationships.\nProvides guidance to office and field teams to ensure start-up activities comply with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.\nProvides support oncreation, maintaining, and updating commissioning budget and schedule.\nDesigns new commissioning programs by analyzing requirements and constructing workflow charts and diagrams to evaluate output requirements and formats.\nProvides support material or reports to Project Managers, Preconstruction Managers, or other leadership as required.\nProvides leadership for commissioning field reports.\nProvides support for field commissioning activities.\nWorks closely with the Safety department to develop Lockout / Tagout procedures and integrate them into commissioning procedures.\nEnsures completed installations perform to functional requirements.\nParticipates in customer / projectinterviews.\nProvides training for other technical personnel where applicable.\nProvides certification for Commissioning Site Leads.\nProvides development needs for other commissioning team members.\nDevelops written Commissioning Work Scope and Estimates in accordance with RFP's.\nLeads the development of systems, strategies and plans to achieve project commissioning requirements.\nMonitors project commissioning activities and leads corrective actions as needed.\nImproves systems from current practices; devises strategies and plans to achieve project objectives.\nMaintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications establishing personal networks, bench-marking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies.\nPerforms other related duties as required and assigned.\nThe job description and responsibilities described are intended to provide guidelines for job expectations and the employee's ability to perform the position described.
