This work is completed under the general oversight of an upper-level Commissioning Engineer or Commissioning Field Manager.\nThe Mechanical Commissioning Engineer is responsible for supporting the creation of complete project commissioning plans, resourcing plans, and execution of commissioning activities based on a clear understanding of the owner, facility and equipment functional requirements.\nPlans include sequenced activities, schedules, and documents, as well as conducting on-site/jobsite execution and auditing of jobsite commissioning activities. The ideal candidate must be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite, the ability to understand one-lines, schematics & drawings is necessary, knowledge of Mechanical terminology and components is necessary.\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS\nEducation: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience\nExperience: 3 to 8 years of related experience or 5 to 12 years of mechanical commissioning experience\nTravel: up to 50%\nWork Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nWorks with Preconstruction Managers and Project Managers at the beginning of projects to define commissioning requirements and establish plans to complete commissioning documentation and other deliverables.\nAssists with creating LOTO plans and start-up scripts.\nWith direction from upper-level Commissioning Engineer, completes detailed procedures and checklists to document the equipment performs to the specifications and the equipment is integrated into a functioning system.\nAssists Commissioning Site Lead with establishing structure, training, and implementing LOTO and start-up scripts.\nConducts field surveys.\nCollects and enters data to ensure that equipment conforms to operational standards and requirements.\nProvides support material or reports to Project Managers and commissioning team as required.\nProvides reports that documents the equipment functions per the project specifications and requirements.\nProvides support for field commissioning activities through research and addressing needs during the commissioning process.\nProvides guidance to office and field teams to ensure start-up activities comply with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.\nWorks with equipment providers to troubleshoot installed equipment during start-up, testing, and commissioning.\nPerforms other related duties as required and assigned.\nThe job description and responsibilities described are intended to provide guidelines for job expectations and the employees’ ability to perform the position described.
