They are responsible for answering technical questions, proposing budgets for projects, providing guidance and leadership to their team, constantly building talent and capabilities within the team in support of customer needs, and collaborating with various other departments. This position typically has direct supervision of between ten to fifteen engineering support staff, provides day-to-day work direction, and conducts formal performance evaluations.\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering\nExperience: Five or more years of related Industrial Engineering experience and prior exposure managing a team, completing multi-variable work measurements and developing labor standards, process improvement initiatives, and network optimization projects within a distribution center environment.\nTravel: up to 30% based on company need\nWork Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday.However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nParticipates in Customer / Project Interviews: Leads the Manufacturing Engineering portion.\nAssigns manufacturing engineering resources to effectively deliver projects within Excellerate.\nLeads and directs maintenance and tooling for all Excellerate locations.\nProvide performance evaluations and coaching to team members.\nPrepares proposals and cost estimates for Engineering, modeling, detailing and CAD- related services.\nEngineering support of all projects, supporting the Operations Engineering team.\nProvides leadership and guidance to Manufacturing Engineering staff, maintenance and tooling staff.\nManage the CAPEX process for Excellerate.\nPrepares and studies technical drawings, and electrical specifications to ensure that installations and designs conform to standards and customer requirements.\nConfers with internal and external customers to discuss existing or potential construction and product/manufacturing projects.\nSupports manufacturing with designing Jigs or fixtures needed for production.\nMonitors and controls project activity to meet budgets and schedules.\nAccountable for building skills, capabilities and team culture which aligns with FTI's core values.\nPerforms other related duties as required and assigned.\nWork with production personnel to identify and correct all safety issues.\nDevelop and maintain facility layouts using AutoCAD.\nJustify and procure capital equipment and tooling.\nCoordinate facility and equipment preventive maintenance programs.\nUnderstand government regulations as they apply to the business and assure compliance.\nAssist in developing capacity and contingency plans for Excellerate.\nThoroughly understand assembly and operations and drive efficiency, safety, delivery and quality improvements\nHelp drive employee improvement projects and administer business unit and company programs.\nDevelop or optimize processes to ensure quality, cost, and efficiency requirements are met.\nPerforms other related duties as required and assigned.\nThe job description and responsibilities described are intended to provide guidelines for job expectations and the employee's ability to perform the position described.
