This role serves as the primary financial business partner to regional operational leadership while maintaining alignment with corporate finance policies, procedures, and objectives.\nThis position oversees regional budgeting and forecasting activities, conducts regular financial reviews with regional leadership teams, assists with year-end audit requirements, ensures compliance with internal controls, and provides day-to-day supervision and development of regional accounting staff in coordination with corporate accounting department managers.\nPOSITION SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:\nFinancial Leadership, Communication & Business Partnership\nServe as the primary finance partner to regional leadership, providing financial analysis, guidance, and decision-support.\nConduct monthly and quarterly financial reviews with regional management team.\nPartner with operational leaders to improve financial performance and achieve organizational objectives.\nCommunicate financial performance, key business drivers, and emerging risks in a clear and concise manner.\nMaintain strong working relationships across finance, operations, and executive leadership teams.\nBudgeting, Forecasting & Financial Planning\nIn collaboration with the Director of Budgeting & Financial Analysis supports the annual budgeting process for the assigned region.\nParticipate in periodic forecasting and financial planning activities with the region’s operational and corporate finance teams.\nMonitor budget performance and investigate significant variances.\nPrepare financial reports and performance metrics for the region as required.\nAccounting Oversight & Compliance\n Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for regional operations in accordance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.\nReview financial transactions, reconciliations, and reporting activities performed within the region.\nCollaborate with centralized accounting teams to maintain consistency and accuracy across the organization.\nIdentify process improvement opportunities and support implementation of best practices.\nAssist with preparation and coordination of external audits.\nTeam Leadership & Development\nProvide day-to-day supervision of regional accounting staff.\nWork collaboratively with corporate accounting managers to establish priorities, workloads, and development plans.\nFoster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer service.\nSupport employee training and professional development initiatives.\nQUALIFICATIONS\neducation:\nBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.\nEXPERIENCE:\n7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience with 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience.\nExperience in a multi-location accounting environment.\nExperience with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, internal controls, and audit support.\nPERFORMANCE COMPETENCIES:\nCommunication\nDecision Making\nEngagement\nInitiative and Accountability\nInterpersonal\nLearning\nOrganizational Alignment\nQuality of Work\nKNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:\nKnowledge of nonprofit accounting, grant management, and fund accounting.\nKnowledge of financial systems, accounting software, and advanced spreadsheet applications.\nStrong financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning skills.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present financial information to executive leadership and boards.\nAbility to develop, implement, and monitor financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.\nAbility to work independently while contributing as a strategic partner to the organization's leadership team.\nCERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:\nCPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.\nOTHER INFORMATION\nSAFETY SENSITIVE JOB CLASSIFICATION:\nThis job is classified as a “safety-sensitive” position as defined by the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act.
