Store assignments will be determined based on operational needs within the designated region.\nJob title: Store Manager\nFLSA status: Exempt\nDepartment: Operations\nReports to: Field Consultant\nSalary: $60,000+ Annually\nPosition summary: The Store Manager is a position of responsibility for establishing and maintaining customer relationships, oversees and is accountable for the operations of a store. Ensuring maximum sales and profitability through merchandise, inventory, expense control, human resource management, and managing operating costs and shrinkage. The Store Manager demonstrates a commitment to personal development and exceed company goals.\nGeneral Purpose: The purpose of this position is to provide leadership in all store’s operational areas by guiding and motivating employees to provide safe, fast, and superior service to exceed customer expectations, stimulate the growth of the business. This position, along with all positions, are to uphold the Family Express Mission and Vision.\nRole Qualifications:\nMust be able to be on call 24 hours per day, 7 days per week\nMust have a valid driver’s license\nMust be at least 21 years of age\nMust have at least a High School diploma or equivalent\nReliable transportation\nMust be able to travel daily between all Family Express locations or other non-Family Express locations when necessary.\nAbility to obtain and maintain and Indiana alcohol manager designation\nCompletion of training requirements (ie. ServSafe, Cravin’s To Order, etc)\nPosition Responsibilities:\nMeets and exceeds expectations of the Family Express culture including building relationships, promoting the Living Brand, and serves as a product brand advocate as outlined in the Culture Audit expectations\nComplete all daily, weekly, monthly accounting, banking, and auditing functions using Company approved accounting procedures\nConduct and ensure competitive fuel price surveys are completed as required\nAccurately review, verify, and complete store payroll ensuring proper allocations, vacations, etc. added per schedule.\nEffectively operates and maintains all approved store equipment\nExecute the overall marketing, merchandising, and promotional objectives\nApply, enforce, and oversee the consistent use of early engagement, counseling, and disciplinary actions for all store associates according to Company policy and procedure\nEnsure proper safety, maintenance, cleanliness, and image standards are maintained for the entire store through store image reviews, safety audits, and proper use of the daily and weekly shift duties lists by all associates\nMonitor applicant tracking system daily and respond to all applications in a timely manner\nHire and retain qualified store associates to achieve a positive programmatic hiring number in each cost center of individual store and Company\nLeads, motivates, inspires, trains, and coaches all employees\nEnsures store security and safety for all customers and employees; promptly reports any incident\nEnsure the store achieves the budgeted objectives and maintains a level of profitability acceptable to the Company, in the areas of sales, shrink, waste, cash over/short, expenses and labor management \nComplete store schedules two months in advance (at minimum), ensuring all shifts are covered to meet business needs \nVerifies and reviews proper labor budget utilization\nCompletes all scheduled performance reviews\nMaintain active Cravin’s To Order training and ServSafe certifications at food service locations\nMay include safety committee assignments\nMaintain a working phone at all times\nEnsures appropriate store coverage for vacations by Associate Field Consultant or Store Manager, and ensures all shifts are filled\nCompletion of Living Brand University courses\nOther duties as assigned\nRequirements\nEssential Skills and Experience:\nSituational Awareness\nStrong customer-centric orientation\nTime management, multitasking, productivity, and a sense of urgency\nExcellent interpersonal and highly effective communication skills at all levels\nHigh performance team building and strong team player\nAbility to enhance team members’ performance\nCommitment to company mission and values\nBasic mathematical & computer proficiency\nConstructively deals with conflict\nAdaptability, flexibility, and receptive to change\nProblem analysis & resolution at both strategic & functional level\nEffective decision making based on sound judgment and reasoning\nAbility to read, write, and understand English\nNonessential Skills and Experience:\n2-4 year college degree\nPrevious retail experience\nMicrosoft Office experience\nReporting To This Position: All Store level employees assigned to location (locations for Multi-site Manager) of responsibility.\nPhysical demands and work environment:\n Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for prolonged periods longer than eight (8) ten to (10) hour shifts, fifty (50) hours per week, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch; talk and hear; taste and smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.\n Work Environment: Must have flexibility to work all shifts, all days of the week, when necessary. Ability to tolerate extreme temperatures for minimum of 30-minute intervals.
