Fanatics Betting and Gaming is headquartered in New York with offices in Denver, Leeds and Dublin.\nAbout the Role\nWe’re expanding into a new casino and horse racing product and are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to build the financial reporting function for this growing business from scratch. This is a greenfield, high-ownership role where you won’t be inheriting anyone else’s work. You’ll own the complete financial reporting stack end-to-end: from data modeling through final dashboards and business insights, with direct visibility to leadership.\nYou’ll report to the Senior Manager of Financial Analytics and partner closely with stakeholders across engineering, finance, legal & compliance, operations, and commercial teams.\nIf you’re someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, takes real end-to-end ownership, and wants to build something meaningful from the ground up, this is the role for you.\nResponsibilities\nBuild and maintain the complete financial reporting infrastructure for new iCasino division - dashboards, recurring reports, and KPI tracking - from scratch\n\nOwn data modeling in partnership with the analytics engineering team through to final reporting in Sigma and Oracle\n\nJoin and transform large, complex datasets using SQL, Snowflake, and dbt to support cross-functional reporting needs\n\nSurface insights on how the business is operating and communicate findings clearly to finance and business stakeholders\n\nDesign and develop BI solutions in Sigma following industry best practices\n\nHelp implement and maintain best practices for internal and external Sigma environments\n\nCollaborate with analysts and data engineers to solve business problems and build scalable solutions\n\nLeverage GenAI tools (Snowflake Cortex, Claude, GitHub Copilot) to automate workflows and improve reporting efficiency\n\nTrain and mentor others on BI best practices and newer Snowflake and Claude functionalities\n\nStay current on trends in data analytics and the sports betting and gaming industry\n\nExperience and Skills\n4+ years of experience in an analyst role within a fast-paced, high-growth environment\nStrong SQL skills - querying and working with large datasets across platforms including Snowflake, BigQuery, MSSQL, Vertica, Presto, or PostgreSQL\n\nExperience with dbt Core or dbt Cloud - building models, transformations, and reports\n\nProficiency with a BI / visualization tool - Sigma, Tableau, Looker, or similar\n\nTrue end-to-end project ownership - you’ve built things from scratch, not just contributed to them\n\nAbility to communicate clearly with both engineering teams (requirements) and non-technical stakeholders (insights and progress)\n\nStrong accountability and autonomy - you don’t need heavy direction to operate\n\nNice to have:\nPython for data wrangling and pipeline building\n\nGenAI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Snowflake Cortex, GitHub Copilot)\n\nGaming, casino, or sports betting industry experience\n\nStartup or consulting background\n\nExperience working alongside finance teams as a data practitioner\n\nDepending on the role, your interview and onboarding experience may include in-person components, such as onsite interviews or Launching into Better: LIVE-a multi-day cultural immersion in New York City for full-time, non-seasonal hires.
