Reporting to the Experimentation Manager, this role will help to accelerate the speed of learning while maintaining standardization of processes across teams. The Data Scientist will partner with retention marketing stakeholders and will be responsible for designing and analyzing experiments that help to answer key questions and drive promotional strategy. They will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally, aligning with commercial stakeholders, generosity data science, marketing technology and machine learning engineering to pursue a best-in-class personalization strategy. In addition, the Data Scientist will have the opportunity to be involved in key strategic initiatives that support FanDuel’s overall growth. \nIn addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. Compile results and present insights and recommendations to marketing leadership. \nContinue the advancement of a cross-functional experimentation program. Be a thought leader in identifying and evaluating tools and capabilities to advance our practice, including opportunities for automation. Introduce advanced statistical techniques to support data analysis and insight generation. \nDrive culture of experimentation throughout the Sportsbook business through initiatives to educate organization on experimentation best practices. \nTHE STATS\nWhat we're looking for in our next teammate\nMinimum of 1+ years of experience in a data science or analytics role\nBachelor’s degree in quantitative field (Math, Statistics, Economics, Engineering) is preferred. Master’s degree a plus.\nExperience with experimental design, A/B/n testing, and use of statistical analysis. Experience with analysis or experimentation of personalization efforts, a plus. \nAdvanced SQL skills required. Experience with statistical programming tools such as Python, R or SAS preferred.\nStrong problem-solving skills, with ability to work through ambiguity and deliver solutions to business problems.\nLives the “we are one team” mentality.
