This position will develop and enhance secure, scalable software applications that directly support mission operations.\nThe Software Engineer will work within an Agile development environment and collaborate with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to design, build, test, and deploy modern software solutions. The role emphasizes Java and Python development, RESTful API integration, relational databases, and secure application development within Linux/Unix environments.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software applications and services\nDevelop backend software solutions using Python\nDevelop and maintain applications utilizing Java and Python\nDesign, build, integrate, and consume RESTful APIs supporting application functionality and system interoperability\nDesign, develop, and optimize solutions utilizing relational databases\nCollaborate with software engineers, architects, and stakeholders to define technical requirements and implement effective solutions\nTroubleshoot software defects, system integration issues, and application performance problems\nParticipate in code reviews and promote software engineering best practices\nContribute throughout the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis through deployment and sustainment\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies and activities, including sprint planning, development, testing, and retrospectives\nEnsure software solutions meet security, performance, scalability, and maintainability requirements\nRequired Qualifications\nMust be fully cleared with a recent polygraph\n Must be willing and able to work fully onsite at the location listed in this posting\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience\nExpert-level software engineering experience;
