Your work will support different departmental workflows, from data management and reporting to document processing and coordination between teams.\nYou will take solutions through the full development lifecycle, from defining requirements and building prototypes to deployment, monitoring, and ongoing improvement.\nKey Responsibilities\nWork with the Operations Manager to identify, prioritize, and deliver automation projects across multiple departments. \nUnderstand how each department works and translate operational needs into clear technical requirements. \nBuild and maintain internal applications, dashboards, scripts, and automated workflows. \nConnect business systems through APIs, webhooks, and database integrations. \nAutomate data collection, validation, reporting, and document processing. \nImprove information sharing and handoffs between departments. \nDevelop simple interfaces that colleagues can use confidently. \nUse AI tools and services where they provide practical value, while validating outputs and maintaining appropriate controls. \nTest, deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot solutions, with attention to reliability and data accuracy. \nManage access permissions, document solutions, and support colleagues in adopting new tools. \nRequirements\n3+ years of software development experience using Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or a comparable language. \nExperience working with APIs, SQL databases, and third-party integrations. \nAbility to build and deploy applications, including basic web interfaces. \nFamiliarity with Git, testing, debugging, and software maintenance. \nAbility to understand business processes and identify practical ways to improve them. \nGood judgment about when to build a custom solution and when to use an existing tool. \nAbility to work independently, manage priorities, and take ownership through delivery. \nClear communication and confidence working with colleagues without a technical background. \nNice to Have\nExperience building internal tools or automating workflows across different departments. \nExperience integrating CRM, finance, project management, or document management systems. \nFamiliarity with AI APIs, document extraction, and AI-assisted development tools. \nExperience with cloud hosting, scheduled jobs, and application monitoring. \nBenefits\nCompetitive compensation based on experience and skills. \nOpportunities for continuous learning and professional growth. \nExposure to projects across different industries and business functions. \nOwnership of tools that have a direct impact on how our teams work. \nAn entrepreneurial environment where practical ideas can become working solutions. \nJoin us at Faraday Norton and take the next step in your career -
