The company’s Fareon RestoreTM platform delivers proprietary Microtesla Magnetic Therapy (MMT), precisely calibrated electromagnetic fields designed to activate biological pathways associated with resolution of inflammation and oxidative stress, repair, and recovery in the brain. The lead program targets cognitive impairment related to Long COVID, a substantial unmet need in neurology for which there are currently no approved treatments. Fareon is advancing late-stage clinical development of this first indication while expanding a broader pipeline enabled by the shared Fareon Restore platform.\nFareon is entering a defining phase of growth as it executes on the multicenter pivotal RECLAIM trial while building the clinical and organizational foundation required to bring a first-in-class biophysics platform through marketing authorization and commercialization. Beyond Long COVID, Fareon is expanding development into brain disorders marked by neuroinflammation and oxidative stress, including post-concussion syndrome, mild cognitive impairment, Alzheimer’s disease, and autism spectrum disorder.\nWe are a team of passionate, high-achieving professionals driven by scientific rigor, curiosity, and meaningful impact. Our culture emphasizes collaboration, clarity, accountability, and continuous learning.\nOur values include:\nMeaningful Work: We do work that inspires, excites, and energizes us, and we strive for outcomes that have a positive impact on humanity.\nMeaningful Relationships: We build meaningful relationships through genuine care for one another. We use tools to navigate conflict. We don’t take ourselves too seriously.\nCuriosity: We harness curiosity to learn rapidly, consider diverse perspectives, and challenge assumptions.\nFailing Well: We celebrate “good failures” openly and emphasize failing fast. This allows us to take strategic risks and learn quickly.\nClarity: We prioritize clear goals for individuals, teams, and the company as a whole.\nIntegrity and Trust: We are a team of high integrity individuals who trust each other to do outstanding work. \nThe Role\nAs one of Fareon’s earliest hires, the Technical Program Manager will be a critical connector for the company, keeping our most important programs on schedule, on budget, and visible to everyone who depends on them. This individual will work directly with the Chief Product Officer to coordinate two parallel streams of work: the manufacturing ramp of our delivery system and the development of our companion software applications. The CPO retains accountability for design control decisions; the TPM keeps those programs moving and their records complete. The role will also initially have a dotted line to the VP of Research, with ~25% of time spent supporting projects in the Fareon lab, including grant-supported programs.\nThis is a hands-on role in a three-person company that is about to grow significantly. The TPM will be expected to build the lightweight processes, tools, and reporting rhythms that let a small team execute like a much larger one. Task scope will range from program planning and vendor management to shipping and service. The right candidate works independently, communicates crisply, and is energized rather than unsettled by a dynamic environment where priorities evolve as the company learns.\nPriorities for the first six months are, in order: (1) keeping the manufacturing ramp with our contract manufacturer on schedule and fully documented, (2) maintaining the Design History File so that it is audit-ready at every stage gate, and (3) running the delivery cadence for our patient-facing mobile app. Software program scope and lab support expand as the first two programs stabilize.\nAs Fareon grows, so does this role. The Technical Program Manager position is designed to expand with the company, with a clear path toward senior program leadership as our clinical, engineering, and manufacturing programs scale.\nYou will be based in or near San Francisco, CA (strongly preferred) and work a hybrid schedule with three days per week in our office and lab in Potrero Hill.\nResponsibilities\nOversight of Medical Device Design Control Processes\nMaintain the Design History File for Fareon’s delivery system under the direction of the CPO, who retains design control accountability\nOrganize and run stage gate reviews, capturing decisions and maintaining action item logs\nCoordinate external resources to execute on required testing to support device registration\nKeep program records audit-ready, and serve as the program-level point of contact for our regulatory and quality lead during audits and submission preparation\nManufacturing Ramp and Design Transfer\nCoordinate Fareon’s manufacturing ramp, tracking schedules, deliverables, and dependencies across contract manufacturers, component suppliers, and external engineering partners\nAssist with design transfer to our contract manufacturer, including transfer of specifications, process documentation, and acceptance criteria, through first production lot\nMaintain the integrated manufacturing timeline, flag risks early, and drive open issues to closure\nServe as a day-to-day coordination point for external vendors and contractors, tracking statements of work, deliverables, and invoices against plan, and escalating when commitments slip\nSoftware Development Program Management\nManage the execution of software application development projects, beginning with our patient-facing mobile app and the trial coordinator dashboard, and expanding to the fleet management system\nCoordinate with external development teams, track milestones against plan, and make sure requirements, decisions, and changes are documented\nLab and Grant Program Support\nAssist our scientific leadership in managing projects in the Fareon lab, including planning experiments and studies as projects with timelines, resources, and deliverables\nFor grant-supported work, track milestones, budgets, and reporting deadlines so that every deliverable and report is delivered on time\nDevelop Processes and Tools\nIn cooperation with CPO, establish a project management toolkit for the company, including templates, trackers, and meeting rhythms\nBuild and maintain simple, durable program dashboards and status reporting\nPrepare program summaries for board, investor, and grant-related updates as needed\nLeverage approved AI tools to multiply your effectiveness\nSupport fundraising and strategic diligence activities as requested\nA Little Bit of Everything Else When Needed\nTest, pack, and ship devices\nDebug/repair/refurbish devices in the field remotely and in person\nOther unanticipated technical and quasi-technical tasks that might arise\nWhat success in the first 12-24 months looks like:\nTools and processes implemented to provide up-to-date insight into project status\nSmooth running communications with manufacturing partner\nDesign History File complete and audit-ready at every stage gate, with no audit findings attributable to program records\nSeveral opportunities identified for process improvement, with implementation completed\nProactive expansion of responsibilities based on observation of need\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in technical field relevant to Fareon’s work, preferably an engineering discipline\n3-6 years of program or project management experience in a technical, fast-moving environment, such as medical devices, biotech, hardware, or connected products\nExperience in medical device or other regulated product development, including familiarity with design controls and ISO 13485 quality systems\nDemonstrated ability to run multiple concurrent workstreams independently, with minimal supervision and a strong sense of ownership\nExperience coordinating external partners, such as contract manufacturers, engineering firms, or software development vendors\nFluency with modern project management and collaboration tools, and comfort using approved AI tools to work faster and smarter\nExceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, paired with the judgment to distinguish what matters from what merely looks urgent\nExcellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to distill complex, cross-disciplinary programs into clear status for executives and partners\n\"Do what it takes\" attitude\nComfort operating in a startup environment where you will be both process builder and hands-on contributor, and where the plan will change as the company learns\nPreferred Qualifications\nHands-on experience maintaining a Design History File through at least one FDA submission; ownership strongly preferred (510(k), De Novo, or PMA)\nExperience with clinical-stage device programs, including trial device supply, field support, and coordination with clinical operations\nExperience supporting grant-funded research, including milestone and budget reporting to federal or foundation sponsors\nFamiliarity with software development practices sufficient to run an effective cadence with engineering teams\nFamiliarity with medical device software standards such as IEC 62304\nPMP, PgMP, or similar certification is welcome but is not a substitute for practical, hands-on program execution\nOpportunities for Growth and Advancement\nFareon is at the beginning of its scaling journey. Compensation will be Bay Area competitive, including full benefits and equity. The person who takes this role and excels will be positioned to lead program management across our clinical, engineering, and manufacturing programs, including building the team, as the organization expands.","description_format":"text","description_chars":9774,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":3,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":["Continuous learning","Equity"],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Health Care","Neurology & CNS Therapeutics"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-06T03:13:44Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":86,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.86,"p_room":1,"age_days":0,"expected_fill_days":18,"reasons":["conf:0","win:early"],"computed_at":"2026-10-06T05:45:30Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/fareon-technical-program-manager","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/fareon-technical-program-manager.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-07T00:55:28Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":1523,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":3477,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-08T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":3872148},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=3872148"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Ffareon-technical-program-manager"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Ffareon-technical-program-manager"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Ffareon-technical-program-manager"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/fareon-technical-program-manager\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Ffareon-technical-program-manager"}]}
