You’ll work closely with senior developers and other technical team members to build reliable data processes, implement code fixes and contribute to data products that create business value.\nThis opportunity is suited to someone with development experience who is ready to grow their capabilities in data development, learn new tools, ask thoughtful questions and contribute to team outcomes.\nIf you have experience with software development, an interest or experience in AWS-based data solutions and the curiosity to grow into a specialized data developer role, this could be the opportunity for you.\nWhat you’ll do\nAnalyze, develop and maintain code for data solutions, including automation, integration and unit tests\nUse AWS technologies, infrastructure as code and development frameworks to support cloud-based data processing and analytics solutions\nBuild, enhance and troubleshoot backend data processes, pipelines and integrations\nImplement code fixes, support user testing and help resolve defects or production issues\nParticipate in design, coding and code review sessions with senior developers and other technical team members\nContribute to the design and development of data models, analytics datasets and reporting-ready data assets\nApply troubleshooting, documentation and continuous improvement practices to support reliable, maintainable data solutions\nWhat you’ll bring to the team\nRequired qualifications:\nA bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related field\nMinimum three years of software development experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)\nExperience developing, testing, troubleshooting and maintaining software or data solutions\nExperience with AWS technologies such as AWS Glue, Step Functions, S3, Redshift, QuickSight, Lambda, EventBridge or AppFlow\nExperience with programming and query languages such as Python, PySpark, TypeScript or SQL\nKnowledge of common development patterns and practices, including object-oriented or functional programming concepts\nAbility to work with technical team members to understand requirements, build solutions and support testing\nStrong troubleshooting skills and a willingness to learn new data development tools and practices\nPreferred qualifications:\nAWS data development experience, especially with AWS QuickSight\nExperience with data modelling, analytics datasets or reporting solutions\nExperience with automation, integration testing or infrastructure as code\nLending business knowledge, ideally within Canadian agriculture\nNot sure you meet every requirement?
