You'll collaborate closely with software developers, system administrators, database administrators, cybersecurity teams, and business stakeholders to improve the developer experience and operational excellence throughout FCC.\nThis is an exciting opportunity to contribute to enterprise-scale initiatives while helping shape the future of our DevOps and platform engineering practices.\nWhat you’ll do\nDesign, build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Github Actions, AWS CodePipeline) to support the secure, reliable, and efficient delivery of applications and platform services.\nProvision, manage, and automate cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and tools such as AWS CDK and CloudFormation in Typescript and Python.\nDesign, deploy, and support AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Route 53, IAM, Lambda, and related cloud-native services to deliver secure, scalable, and highly available solutions.\nPackage, deploy, and support containerized applications and platform services using Docker and AWS container technologies such as ECS and EKS.\nDevelop automation, tooling, and operational workflows using Python, PowerShell, Bash, Typescript (Javascript) and related technologies to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.\nImplement and support monitoring, logging, alerting, tracing, and observability solutions using CloudWatch, OpenSearch, and related platform tooling.\nCollaborate with development teams to improve developer experience, deployment processes, operational efficiency, and application reliability.\nBuild and maintain reusable platform capabilities, automation frameworks, and self-service solutions that enable teams to deliver software more effectively.\nSupport security, governance, and compliance requirements through the implementation of IAM controls, secrets management, encryption, patching, and vulnerability remediation practices.\nParticipate in incident response, root cause analysis, and problem management activities to improve platform stability and operational resilience.\nContribute to disaster recovery, backup, business continuity, and resiliency planning initiatives.\nSupport platform modernization efforts and continuously identify opportunities to improve automation, scalability, reliability, and operational excellence.\nTroubleshoot complex application, infrastructure, networking, and deployment issues while driving long-term corrective actions.\nCreate and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, architecture diagrams, and platform standards.\nParticipate in Agile delivery activities including planning, estimation, technical design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nWhat you’ll bring to the team\nRequired qualifications\nBachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or a related field \nMinimum three years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical role (or an equivalent combination of education and experience) \nExperience designing, deploying, and supporting AWS-based solutions.\nExperience developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar frameworks.\nExperience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.\nExperience developing automation and operational tooling using TypeScript, Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages.\nExperience using Git-based source control systems and modern software development practices.\nStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. \nExperience supporting production environments and resolving complex operational issues.\nExcellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.\nPreferred qualifications\nExperience building shared platform services, automation frameworks, or developer enablement solutions.\nExperience with AWS CDK, Cloudformation and Typescript.\nExperience with Github Actions, AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD platforms.\nExperience with Docker and containerized application deployment in ECS and EKS.\nExperience supporting Linux and/or Windows server environments.\nExperience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions.\nFamiliarity with incident management, root cause analysis, and operational excellence practices.\nFamiliarity with disaster recovery, backup, resiliency, and business continuity planning.\nUnderstanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) principles and Agile delivery methodologies.\nNot sure you meet every requirement?
