This role ensures that dispensary operations effectively support sales and marketing objectives while maintaining inventory within a secure, well-controlled, and fully compliant facility.\nKey Responsibilities:\nOperations & Leadership\nOversee and manage all daily operations of the dispensary to ensure efficient, compliant, and customer-focused performance.\nMaintain full accountability for dispensary profit and loss (P&L) performance.\nDevelop, implement, and maintain compliant standard operating procedures for dispensing, inventory management, and all sales support functions.\nPartner with the executive leadership team to understand market drivers and trends, provide insights, make recommendations, and interpret performance data.\nParticipate in and conduct weekly leadership calls to review sales performance, monthly goals, and business trajectories.\nDemonstrate strong leadership and sound decision-making in high-pressure or stressful situations.\nCompliance & Risk Management\nEnsure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations.\nEnforce diversion prevention controls through strict adherence to regulatory and internal standards.\nStay informed of regulatory updates and adapt operational practices accordingly to maintain compliance.\nCustomer & Patient Experience\nProvide high-level oversight of staff and customer interactions to ensure exceptional service standards are consistently met.\nPromote a professional, compliant, and customer-centered dispensary environment.\nResolve escalated customer concerns while maintaining service excellence and regulatory compliance.\nPeople Management & Development\nLead all aspects of staff management, including hiring, training, onboarding, performance management, disciplinary actions, employee relations, and performance evaluations.\nCreate and manage staff schedules to meet operational needs while maintaining labor efficiency and budgetary expectations.\nCoach and develop leadership capabilities within the team to support succession planning and long-term growth.\nInventory Management\nTrack and monitor inventory using the state-mandated inventory tracking system and internal business management platforms.\nOversee the receiving process for all regulated and non-regulated products in partnership with the Inventory Manager.\nConduct physical inventory audits at designated intervals (daily, weekly, quarterly, and annually) in collaboration with the Inventory Control Manager to ensure accuracy between physical counts and system records.\nSystems & Technology\nMaintain business management platforms and ensure all technology systems operate effectively, securely, and in compliance with company standards.\nDemonstrate proficiency in Dutchie, OAARS, Microsoft hardware and software, and other required operational systems.\nOperate cash registers, tabletop scanners, and handheld scanners as needed to support operations.\nCash Handling & Financial Controls\nOversee and manage all cash handling activities, including deposits, reconciliations, change orders, and secure storage, in accordance with company policies.\nFacilities & Housekeeping\nWork cross-functionally to ensure the facility maintains an exemplary standard of cleanliness, organization, functionality, safety, and security.\nProfessional Skills & Continuous Improvement\nCommunicate efficiently, effectively, and professionally with employees, leadership, and external partners.\nAnalyze operational challenges, identify alternative solutions, and implement recommendations that support company goals.\nResearch, evaluate, and adapt to new operational methods, compliance requirements, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.\nOther Duties\nPerform additional duties as assigned to support efficient, compliant, and customer-focused operations.\nPosition Requirements:\nPrevious OH MMJ Industry Retail Experience\nFlexible schedule availability including nights, weekends and holidays \n5+ Years general management experience required\nExperience managing high volume business\nP&L and budget management knowledge\nMust be 21 years of age or older\nMust be able to pass a criminal background check\nStrong verbal communication and basic math skills required\nMust demonstrate a proficiency for technology\nPhysical and Environmental Requirements:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nAbility to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds \nAbility to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repetitively throughout a workday \nAbility to stand for extended periods of time \nExtended computer usage \nComfortable being under constant video surveillance \nWork environments that include exposure to, but not limited to fumes, dust, odors, heights, indoor AC, no AC, motion, and noise. \nManagement reserves the right to assign other job duties as necessary, with or without notice.
