Daily tasks include the receipt of samples, determining methods by reviewing procedures and specifications, testing samples (reporting any abnormal reactions to Laboratory leadership), documenting, and reporting of results, and cleaning and stocking the work area. The Laboratory Technician I is also responsible for daily maintaining laboratory equipment and performing routine quality control checks.People are at the heart of everything we do. What matters is real impact, not the volume of activity.\nAn environment that allows you to focus on what truly matters:\nStarting Rate: $22.59/hour\n$1.50hr shift differential for night shift\nTwo pay increases in the first year up to $1.00\nMedical, Dental, Vision, Life, Short and Long-term Disability Insurance \n401(k) with up to a 7% company match \n3 Weeks PTO\nPaid holidays and 2 floating holidays\nAdvancement Opportunities\nTuition Reimbursement\nHealthy work/life balance\nShift time- 2/2/3 5am to 5pm Days\nYour role in achieving results:\nPerform chemistry and/or physical sample preparation and testing.\nResponsible for equipment operation, calibration, cleaning and minor maintenance.\nAnalyze and report laboratory data, verifying interpretation with more senior Technicians or leadership.\nAccurately enter all required data into log books, spreadsheets and the reporting system as appropriate.\nPerform general lab cleanup and organization; restocking supplies as needed.\nFollow work instructions set forth by Test Procedures (TPs), Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Master Sanitation Schedules (MSS) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).\nMaintain a clean work place that is free of safety hazards.\nOther Duties and Responsibilities:\nTroubleshoot issues or concerns with Supervisor/Management.\nUnderstand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Laboratory Practices.\nSafety ProtocolStop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.\nCorrect or report any observed safety hazards.\nSupport safety policies and programs.\n\nThis list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.\nWhat we are looking for to deliver these results:\nEducation Required:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.\nAssociate’s Degree or some coursework in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology preferred.\nEquivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.\nSkills Required:\n Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.\nDemonstrate excellent organizational skills, establish priorities, ability to multitask, and meet deadlines.\nCommunicate effectively both verbally and in writing with supervisors/managers, colleagues and individuals inside and outside the organization.\nAbility to read, understand, and follow documents and procedures.
