Qualified candidates will work with our Energy & Utility Group as a part of the Telecommunications Team in the planning, drafting, design, permitting and construction administration of telecommunications and utility projects.\nWhat You'll Do:\nReview roadway plans to identify conflicts with existing utilities\nDesign civil relocation plans for telecommunications and other utility projects using MicroStation, AutoCAD, or other design software\nPlan and oversee work production to meet project deadlines and budgets\nTechnical oversight, training and mentoring of less experienced staff\nAbility to lead multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate efforts with support groups ensuring a quality, on-time product for our clients, and financially successful projects\nReview projects for accuracy, quality, and adherence to client specifications\nProvide direction and support for permit plans and work prints drafted in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bluebeam, etc.\nProvide office support for site visits and participate in site visits which may include overnight travel \n\nWhat You'll Need:\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field\n4+ years of engineering experience\nExperience with AutoCAD or MicroStation\nExperience in utility relocation design, utility coordination, or roadway design\nPositive work ethic and excellent communication skills\nAbility to effectively manage time while working on several projects concurrently\nNice To Haves:\nProfessional Engineering (PE) license \nProject Management Professional (PMP) Certification or 2+years of project management experience\nExperience on telecommunications relocation projects\nExperience submitting and tracking permits (DOT, municipal, USACE, etc.) for utility projects\nCompensation to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.\nIllinois Pay Transparency\n$90,000—$120,000 USD\nWho We Are:\nJoin Farnsworth Group, a nationally recognized architectural engineering and surveying firm where your career can thrive!
