This role combines advanced plumbing design responsibility with project coordination, client communication, and mentoring of junior staff. \nWhat You’ll Do:\nLead plumbing system design for commercial, institutional, healthcare, and other building projects from concept through construction administration.\nDevelop calculations, specifications, drawings, and details for domestic water, sanitary waste and vent, storm drainage, and specialty plumbing systems.\nCoordinate plumbing design with architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection disciplines to support integrated project delivery.\nServe as a technical resource for clients, project teams, and internal staff throughout all phases of the project.\nReview project scope, budget, and schedule requirements and help manage deliverables to meet client expectations.\nPerform field observations, existing conditions evaluations, and construction administration services as needed.\nMentor and support junior engineers and designers while contributing to quality control and technical development.\nParticipate in project meetings, client presentations, and business development pursuits as appropriate.\nWhat You’ll Need:\nAssociate's degree or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.\nProfessional Engineering License (PE) or Certified Plumbing Designer (CPD) preferred.\nTypically, 8-12+ years of plumbing design experience in the consulting engineering or A/E industry.\nDemonstrated experience leading plumbing design efforts on multi-discipline building projects.\nStrong knowledge of plumbing codes, standards, and common design practices for commercial building systems.\nProficiency with Revit and other industry-standard design and coordination tools.\nAbility to manage multiple assignments, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively across project teams.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with a client-focused mindset.
