In this role, you will have the responsibility for designing and executing landscape architecture projects, both public and private sector, from concept through construction documents. The PLA must understand and keep an eye on the big picture, while simultaneously being entrenched in the details. The success of a project relies on the clarity, completeness, accuracy, and overall quality of our project documents.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nAssist with development of proposals\nLead and participate in client, contractor and project team meetings\nDetermine the feasibility of projects based on the analysis of collected data\nPrepare conceptual sketches, technical drawings, and presentation materials\nPresent ideas and solutions to clients\nDevelop project budgets\nPlan, design, and provide bidding assistance and construction observation/administration of landscape architecture projects\nPrepare estimates of probable construction costs for site and landscape-related work\nWrite and review reports, feasibility studies, project manuals and technical specifications\nManage multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines; minimize write-offs by keeping projects on budget\nDelegates and/or supervises the work of other landscape architecture team members on his/her projects\nWhat You’ll Need:\nBachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program\nProfessional Landscape Architect (PLA)\n8+ years of related professional experience\nISA Certified Arborist a plus\nAbility to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment\nCapability to self-motivate and work productively without supervision required\nStrong analytical, conceptual, and organizational skills required\nEffective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit all levels of personnel and management\nDesire to work in a collaborative team environment\nResponsible for providing work that is accurate, complete and timely\nTravel as needed to project sites\nCompensation to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.\nIllinois Pay Transparency\n$70,000—$100,000 USD\nWho We Are:\nJoin Farnsworth Group, a nationally recognized architectural engineering and surveying firm where your career can thrive!
