In this role, you will work on a wide variety of projects for renewable energy clients. Types of projects include solar, battery storage (BESS), and wind projects as well as other projects within the Renewable Energy industry. Project tasks may include, but are not limited to, site layout, grading, access road design, stormwater/drainage studies, and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling. Work encompasses entire projects, including the initial due diligence phase through conceptual/preliminary design phases, and all the way through the final design, construction, and record drawing phases. This position includes opportunities to serve as Project Manager for various renewable energy projects. If you value a great work culture, interesting projects that make a positive impact on our communities and the world, and excellence in the field of civil engineering, apply today!\nWhat You’ll Do:\nProvide lead civil engineering technical support and design for the development of renewable energy projects (conceptual through final design and construction), as part of an engineering team.\nPrepare, develop, and review civil engineering design and construction plans and related documents.\nProvide project management working directly with the Client’s project manager.\nManage, support, and build relationships with clients and agencies.\nPrepare project proposals\nCollaborate with other Farnsworth Group disciplines and consultants.\nCommunicate with clients regarding current and future projects.\nSupervise, train and mentor younger engineers\nWhat You’ll Need:\nBS or MS in Civil Engineering, from an ABET accredited institution\n10-20 years of civil engineering experience\n5+ years of experience in solar, BESS, wind or similar renewable energy projects preferred\nEngineer in Training (EIT) certification\nProfessional Engineering (PE) registration\nAutoCAD and Civil 3D experience required\nDesign experience on wind, solar and/or BESS projects preferred\nAbility and willingness to manage and contribute to several projects concurrently\nStrong written and oral communication skills\nComputer proficiency with MS Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project\nAbility to travel and have a valid driver’s license\nCompensation to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.\nColorado Pay Transparency\n$120,000—$180,000 USD\nWho We Are:\nJoin Farnsworth Group, a nationally recognized architectural engineering and surveying firm where your career can thrive!
