Our customers don't just use dashboards. They build multidimensional financial models with variables, dimensions, hierarchies, rollups, and calculated logic.\nWhen something is wrong, slow, or unclear - it's rarely a bug. It's a modeling problem.\nWe're looking for a Product Modeling Engineer to own that layer. This is not helpdesk support. This is structured thinking, abstraction, and product leverage.\nWhat You’ll Actually Do\nYou will work at the intersection of:\nData modeling\n\nFinancial logic\n\nMultidimensional structures\n\nProduct architecture\n\nYour work will include:\nTranslating business descriptions into structured models (variables, dimensions, hierarchies)\n\nDebugging aggregations, rollups, grain issues, and double-counting across customer tenants\n\nIdentifying modeling anti-patterns and proactively improving customer models\n\nInfluencing product roadmap based on real-world edge cases\n\nBuilding reusable modeling patterns and playbooks\n\nUsing AI tools (Claude Code, Codex) to prototype, analyze, and automate modeling workflows\n\nYou will see how dozens of companies structure their financial logic, and shape how our product evolves.\nThis Role Is For You If\nYou enjoy:\nTurning paragraphs into schemas\n\nDesigning clean data structures\n\nFinding where logic breaks\n\nReasoning about relationships and cardinality\n\nThinking in systems\n\nYou might have worked as:\nAnalytics Engineer or BI Engineer\n\nData Modeler or ERP/Planning Implementation Consultant\n\nSoftware Engineer with strong data modeling interest\n\nQuantitatively strong finance professional who loves structure\n\nWhat Matters Most\nWe care far more about structured thinking than specific background.\nYou should be comfortable with:\nAbstraction\n\nData modeling concepts (fact vs dimension, grain, joins)\n\nSQL or similar querying language\n\nExplaining complex concepts simply\n\nUsing AI tools productively as part of your daily workflow\n\nNice to have:\nExperience with BI or planning tools\n\nFinancial modeling exposure\n\nExperience with semantic layers\n\nSaaS product environment\n\nYou do not need to be a finance expert.\nYou do need to think clearly and structurally.\nWhy This Role Is Different\nThis is not reactive ticket resolution - you're part of the product brain.\nYou will:\nInfluence product roadmap based on real modeling patterns you see across customers\n\nWork directly with Engineering to improve how dimensions, variables, and rollups behave\n\nBuild reusable modeling frameworks that scale across tenants\n\nShape how enterprise teams think about financial structure\n\nWhat We Value\nAt Farseer, we value agency over waiting and outcomes over tasks.
