LifeWear is clothing that is constantly being innovated, bringing more warmth, better design, and better comfort to people’s lives.\nPosition Overview\nThe Construction Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering new store openings, remodels, relocations, and capital improvement projects. This role manages all phases of retail construction projects from site assessment and design coordination through permitting, construction, turnover, and store opening.\nThe successful candidate will collaborate with internal departments, landlords, architects, engineers, consultants, general contractors, and vendors to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with company standards.\nJob Responsibilities:\nManage multiple retail construction projects simultaneously across assigned regions.\n\nDevelop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and milestone tracking.\n\nCoordinate project activities from lease execution through store opening.\n\nIdentify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.\n\nReview architectural, structural, MEPF (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection) drawings and specifications, lease language related to design and construction.\n\nCoordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure design compliance with company standards.\n\nEvaluate HVAC, electrical power, lighting, plumbing, and fire protection systems for constructability and operational requirements.\n\nResolve design conflicts and construction issues among disciplines.\n\nCoordinate utility services and jurisdictional inspections.\n\nLead contractor bidding, negotiation, bid award, contract, PO, payment processes.\n\nMonitor construction progress, quality, safety, and budget performance.\n\nConduct regular site visits and project meetings.\n\nReview RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contractor payment applications.\n\nEnsure timely project closeout, punch list completion, and turnover that meets company quality standard.\n\nDevelop and manage project budgets and forecasts.\n\nTrack expenditures and approve project-related invoices.\n\nEvaluate and negotiate change orders and cost-saving opportunities.\n\nConduct store turnover walk-throughs with local store management.\n\nTrain store team on site-specific equipment and systems.\n\nCompile warranty and operating manuals from general contractor at conclusion of the store build.\n\nRequirements:\nBachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, Building Construction, or a related field.5+ y\n\nears of construction project management experience in retail, commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use developments.\n\nExperience managing tenant improvement (TI) projects and fast-track construction schedules.\n\nExperience with multi-site retail rollout programs preferred.\n\nAbility to work a flexible schedule that meets the business needs, including evenings and weekends\n\nTechnical Knowledge\nStrong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building systems.\n\nWorking knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, lighting systems, plumbing infrastructure, and fire protection systems.\n\nFamiliarity with IBC, NFPA, ADA, and local building codes.\n\nAbility to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and engineering documents.\n\nProject planning and execution\n\nBudget and schedule management\n\nMEPF coordination\n\nContractor and vendor management\n\nNegotiation and problem-solving\n\nUS Travel may be required: 25% -
