Working as Full-Time Sortation, you will help facilitate the movement of product throughout the distribution center to company owned branches. You will organize all outgoing orders by placing packages into totes and pallets in preparation for shipping. This is an entry-level position based out of our distribution center located at Burgemeester van der Leestraat 500, 3316 LS Dordrecht.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nThe duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:\nOperating computer programs, RF scanners, and printers to label product\nOrganizing shipments into correct containers \nPacking product in layers to ensure stability and efficient space usage \nIdentifying fragile product and process accordingly \nMaintaining the cleanliness and organization of work area \nComplying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations \nParticipating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives \nLearning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings\nREQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS\nThe following skills and qualifications are required for this position:\nProficient written and oral communication skills \nProficient computer skills \nHighly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented \nDemonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency \nWork independently as well as in a team environment \nLearn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment \nWillingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed \nDemonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork\nAbility to lift, slide, carry and lower packages on a regular basis\nPREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS\nPrior experience operating a forklift\nABOUT US\nSince 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with approximately 3,200 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
