Our expert-driven approach, white-glove service, and extensive certifications help our customers scale with confidence.\nLead Manufacturing Engineer\nThe Opportunity\nFathom Manufacturing is seeking a hands-on technical and people leader to turn awarded aerospace and defense programs into production-ready manufacturing processes. You will lead Manufacturing Engineers and partner across Operations, Quality, CNC Programming, Toolmaking, Program Management, and Pre-Sales Engineering.\nWhat You Will Do\nLead, coach, and develop Manufacturing Engineers while setting clear priorities and accountability.\nOwn manufacturing engineering execution for new programs, including technical handoff, process development, readiness reviews, first-piece builds, and production ramp-up.\nDevelop and validate CNC manufacturing processes, including routings, machining methods, tooling, workholding, setups, inspection checkpoints, and controlled documentation.\nPartner with CNC Programming and Operations to prove out programs, improve process stability, and establish repeatable setup and cycle-time expectations.\nDefine tooling, fixture, gauge, equipment, and capital requirements; support implementation and confirm expected results.\nLead manufacturability improvements, engineering change execution, and structured problem-solving for quality and production issues.\nImprove quality, throughput, setup time, cycle time, tool life, material utilization, and manufacturing cost performance.\nCompare actual performance with quoted assumptions and apply production data and lessons learned to future programs.\nWhat You Bring\nBachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent precision-manufacturing experience.\nExperience supporting aerospace and defense manufacturing, new program introduction, production readiness, and controlled documentation.\nDeep hands-on CNC manufacturing knowledge, including machining methods, materials, GD&T, process planning, tooling, workholding, and inspection.\nExperience developing manufacturing processes, solving complex production issues, and improving quality, throughput, and cost.\nWorking proficiency with CAD/CAM, CNC programming concepts, process documentation, and manufacturing data analysis.\nProven success leading engineers, managing competing priorities, and driving technical execution and accountability.\nStrong operational and financial judgment, including cycle-time analysis, manufacturing cost evaluation, capital support, and quote-to-actual review.\nAbility to travel \nJoin Fathom Manufacturing\nBring your CNC expertise, leadership capability, and continuous-improvement mindset to a role where you can shape how complex aerospace and defense programs move from award to sustained production.\nWhat we offer:\nHealth Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
